I knew it'd be lopsided, but wow! 94% came after Zero Punctuation. Of course, I'm a part of that horde.

Good to see you have decided to stay, and hope The Escapist keeps providing interesting articles for us to discuss about (and that the users keep contributing.)Fraser.J.A said:snip
Firstly, post count doesn´t really tell much, so you don´t need to worry about that (as I´m sure you aren´t.) Secondly, my sentiments exactly, even though I´m a new-comer. Due to a high user rate, posting a comment to a thread feels sometimes like, well, throwing posts to a river made out of posts. I also like to write thoughtful posts occasionally, despite the fact that my post count mainly consist of pseudo-witty remarks and corny jokes, and have theoretical gaming discussions. It can feel a bit frustrating to see your post vanish into the sea of comments unread. What I really miss is being able to write a decently long, thoughtful response to a topic and not have it end up on page 3 or later of the thread because a dozen people have tapped out a quick top-of-mind reply while you were writing. Or even being able to see a thread for the first time without it already having 8 pages of responses. I like to think about what I write (part of the reason my post count is so low for such an old-timer!) so I don't much like adding my post buried deep in the back pages of a thread, where only a handful of people will read it.
That was an interesting story, "gramps". Thank you.Whew. Well, this old man is tired with his storytelling, so before I go for my mid-morning nap let me just say one last thing: you damn kids, get off my lawn!![]()
