First one was boring and it felt like you where using pea-shooters.

Oh, the guns killed, but it sounded like "poppoppoppop" when you used them.

Also, the guys weren't even remotely badass

Do not have high expectations.

Where's the hype for Army of Two...Two? Was there even any hype for the first game?

I played a little bit of the first one: it was functional, but nothing special, and that seems to be the case with the sequel. My only problem with the second game is it's morality system: it seems really "tacky" and badly done.

I liked the first one, and am playing the second one now. So I don't have time to hype anything.

My only complaint is that the second game forces vertical splitscreen on you if you are playing two people on one console. The first one split horizontal and I like that much better. But that is a pretty minor complaint.

To the people who didn't enjoy the series, I'm curious if you played alone or with a friend? Because this series is made to be played co-op. And in my humble opinion, co-op splitscreen so you can smack your friend when he frells up a manuever or makes a mess of a co-op snipe moment etc etc.

Well, as opposed to using too little punctuation, you use too much.

Seriously my good man, FIVE exclamation marks!!!!!

OT: I didn't really like the first one, so probably won't get the second.

where's the "it was more of a distraction" option?

I don't think the game was all that well received considering just how similar it was to the Gears games. Overall the game was ok enough to play through a few times but I didn't find it to be particularly good by any means.

And hell, it was 20 bucks in the bargain bin.

Frankly, looked like a generic piece of crap when I saw the first one, and I was proven right, looking at the reviews.

I saw the sequel and the only amazing thing about it is how massive a collective "meh" it produced.

Didn't play the first one, have no interest in playing the second. Looks like an extremely mediocre 3rd-person shooter to me. Like, even more mediocre than Gears of War.

Plus I don 't know if you heard, but there's this little space-themed 3rd-person shooter RPG thingy coming out soon. It's called... Max Erect? No that's not it...

Is this really how overwhelmed we have become by marketing? That we complain about our personal interests not getting enough hype?

It lacks innovation, the singer player campaign is brief and it has terrible A.I.

But I half to admit the weapon customization is quite addicting.

the first game was mostly fun but not satisfying
my roommate and I have still made several playthroughs on missions for achievements (whoo replay value) but when we played the demo for the sequel...it felt SO much better
the guns sounded real, the guns actually felt lethal, the controls weren't so clunky (learned a few things from Gears, but less sticky)...
idk, we'll probably rent it and see how it goes (the morality system seems like it could be more but at least it's there, beats the first game)
except we don't like how they changed the voice actors

I had some good times with the first one playing with a friend over XBL. Then I made the mistake of playing alone. Probably rent the second if my friend does.
