Human. Why? Because if there is one thing we're good at, its killing other species that are a threat to us.
Yes, on an individual level, a vampire or werewolf is much tougher than a human, but we have industry and insane blood lust as well as a cockroaches sense of survival. Trust me, if a war broke out between the species, we would find their weaknesses, weaponize it and then mass produce it.
Carnage will ensue, and it will be glorious to behold.

I'm not a fan of vampires, although I think werewolves, given a certain level of self-control present, are pretty cool.

Hmm on the one hand werewolves don?t have so many ridicules and restrictive weaknesses and are just more badass. On the other hand vampires don?t age. If you mean the modern version of vampires that are beautiful and don't have the weird rules like not being able to cross running water, fear of garlic or being compelled to count seeds or holes in fishing nets then I guess I would pick them just for immortality.

I'm going to have to cast my lot in with the lycans, here. For a variety of reasons, really. I like vampires, I really do. But, first off, I love the wilds. Forests, tundra, plains, being away from civilization. Primal, rough, capable. These things appeal to me. And on top of that, if I were legitimately given the opportunity to become *insert list of characteristics mentioned in first post here* you have no idea how excited I'd be.
Seriously. It'd be like Christmas, Halloween, and my Birthday all rolled into one.

Argh, yes. I hate when they try to bring scientific explanations for werewolves, and forget this bit.

Also, aren't werewolves suppose to turn into wolves? Not JESUSCHRISTLOOKATTHESIZEOFTHATTHING monsters?

...

Additionally, people saying "were" to mean assorted halfhuman things pisses me off. "Were" is the "man" part of "wolfman". You see men around all the time.

And, why werewolves? Why not were armadillos?

Also, female werewolves should be "wifwolves", surely?

And, why not wifarmadillos?

Werewolf. I would love to be able to turn into a wolf and hunt - I like hunting now, taking down elk with my teeth would be sweet!

I'd pick Vampire. I don't really know why but the werewolf thing has never been my favorite.

I would have picked werewolf but your rules are lame. Werewolves can't change whenever they want, that makes them closer to Twilight's shapeshifters than actual werewolves. Also the wolf can't be controlled, it is just a killing machine.

Perfect.

Werewolf, not being able to walk in direct sunlight would be a pain in the ass and killing humans for food reularly would kinda suck too i guess.. Human? Been there, done that.

Ahhhh, got to go with Werewolf here. TTLY wanna be a furry . Lol, jk (Nothing against furries, just making a joke calm down :/) Anyway, I say werewolf because I'm thinking of the more freedoms you get. Don't need to be asked into places, can cross running water, can be out in sun. Full to partial change. Heightened Senses, those works. Ahhhhh yeah.

I would want to be a twighlight vampire just to screw with you since you seem to be so emotionally invested in/influenced by Twighlight vampires.

Edit: Even if I couldnt be a Twighlight vampire, I would take steps to become MORE like one. Like bathe in glittery body paint. And, what would you do about it? Nothing because you'd still be lunch and I would be the Glittery Prince of F*cking Darkness >;-)
i like you. :)

i would be a vampire. mostly because everyone i know seems to think i already am one (i love dark rooms, i'm very pale, i avoid people, i dislike garlic in my food, etc.) so i would have the perfect cover by not changing a thing.

Werewolf, it's just so much work being a Vampire. What with the blood drinking and the not being able to go out in the day. It's not like theres many stores open at night too.

A werewolf I never have to be in my true form, unless theres a full moon. And all the benefits are just gravy for the most part to me. So yeh, I'm gona become a Werewolf.

May I just say that this thread caused me to type 'sally angua' (they're from the Discworld novels) into google without thinking about the consequences first.

Well at least some of that Rule 34 was canonically accurate for once.

OT: Honestly, this is a tricky question. I mean, in terms of what I would actually enjoy, vampires seem to have the edge between the self-control and the impeccable slightly-smug style. On the other hand, vampires do seem to be twats a lot of the time, so being the underdog (pun intended) would be better from a meta viewpoint. But whatever, so long as I get to beat the shit out of some muggers who didn't expect me to be a supernatural creature of the night I'm happy either way.

Real tough choice, I'm more of a Vamp fan than Werewolf, but...
I'm not social enough to pull off any kind of proper seduction, and vamps have a rep of being lonely, which becomes more of a burden when you're long-lived / immortal.
Whereas werewolves get a near-automatic pack bonus, and are probably more inclined to let loose and have fun than a vamp.

It's okay, you and I can be the most sophisticated vampire gentlemen the world has ever seen. (O.^)

And I'm stopping you right now. If we're doing traditional rules, werewolves COULD choose when they changed. By complete accident, Stephenie Meyer actually wrote about werewolves as they were in the fairytales, but then fucked up by calling them shape shifters instead. Kind of a double fail, really.

Basically, your question is this: Necrophilia or Beastiality?
HURDURHURDUR. *slap*
NO. That's only appropriate when talking about Twilight and other shit Human/Vampire/Werewolf 'love' triangles. This is what do you want to BE, and there's nothing saying a werewolf can't get on some freaky wolf-lovin' as a wolf and then fuck people when it's a people too.

Heheheee *evil smile* Vampire. The're awesome, and in with teenager's today all you have to do is show them you're a vampire, and then they will beg you to suck them dry!
Plus, all the dark powers they have are pretty sweet. Oh! and minions.

(I think of Hellsing Vampire Rules)
