Definitely. Its really surprising when you find out how many calories you actually get on a daily basis to maintain a weight. A 200 lb 6' adult only needs 2400 kcal a day. And is considered overweight, depending on % fat. And then you ask how people can eat such huge meals and be fine and find out its because an hour of hard jogging is about 700 kcals burnt.PaulH said:Yeah, that can definitely happen. Also with prolonged injury and rehab, when someone might be transferred or put on light duties. I managed to cut down on caloric intake when I left but I can definitely get why so many got used to downing copious bolognese and simply ported that into civil life.EvilRoy said:Fair, but I spend most of my day sitting in an office chair so I'm not exactly doing energy heavy stuff. Not intended as a slight but a lot of the infantrypeople I've met after they come out of the force typically really battle the pudge since they lose the physical side but keep the eating habits.
I have Klinefelter's so I never managed to bulk much at all, but still needed the calories to perform. But without someone kicking my arse I've dropped a lot of physical activity out of my day. Dropping the eats was a problem at first, but I adjusted.
