"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." -Albert Einstein, who was only 100% certain of one thing.

What kinda Question is this?

'I think, therefore I am' (...or am I?)
- That's the only thing you can come close to being 'sure' about.

^^^LOL

Reading all these discussions over epistimology I think people need to read the title caefully. The poll asks 'is there anything you are "sure" about', not is there anything you "know". Epistimology is the 'theory of "knowledge" not 'theory of things you are "sure" about'.

OT: I am sure I am a sentient being existing in a material world where I interact with other beings.

I know very little. The closest I would come to knowing is that I believe I am experiencing an external world, therefore I exist as a thinking being. But even this presupposes that because I cannot comprehend being deceived of my own deception that I must exist to be deceived. My own existence is a subject of alleged knowledge as due to the limitations of what I believe is my mind.

My head fucking hurts, it's raining outside and I want to die.

I'm incapable of menstruation, so go figure.
If I remember rightly, men have a hormone cycle similar to a woman's menstruation cycle that causes irritability and other mood swings that also reflect menstruation. It doesn't render your comment untrue, but a fun (possible) fact nonetheless.

OT: Aside from the obvious stuff regarding physical facts, I'm not sure I'm sure about anything. I question my opinions consistently to keep a check on their validity, philosophy and ethics are pretty difficult to be 100% sure about either. I'll get back to you on this one[footnote]I won't, don't bother checking[/footnote]

Well, I'm going to side with Descartes on this one. I am sure that I exist, since I think.

I am also sure that taking yourself too seriously is a terrible thing, and that everyone, myself included, is an idiot.

I am sure that people are not basically good, but neither are they inherently evil. They are just people, and it is what they do that makes them good or bad. And yes, I did get that from Blood Diamond.

I am sure of a lot of things, but I'm not going to go into detail. My life's philosophy really just boils down to one concept: "You know what? Fuck it. I'm going for it." I haven't had this outlook for very long, and it conflicts with the personality I've had for most of my life, so I still have trouble following it. Still, I'm convinced that it's the best way to go about living.

And that's what I'm sure of.

I am 100% sure that there is absolutely nothing in reality that is not in a constant state of flux. Reality is subjective...but it's not...nothing is, nothing becomes, nothing is not.

Well, I'm 100% sure that I'm male.
I'm 100% sure the earth is spherical.
I'm 100% sure that my room looks like a disaster.
and I'm 100% sure that the sky is blue.

.........What? You were expecting something else?
Sorry to buzzkill you there, buddy.

But the earth isn't always a true sphere. It squashes a little because of it's points of gravity and goes back to that form because it is spinning.

Second, the sky isn't really 'blue'. It's the closest color we can perceive when we watch the sky at day. The sun shines it's light through a lot of gasses in the atmosphere, making a display of color that's out of our normal color spectrum, but the brain is a funny thing, so it makes it blue.

...And how messy your room is, is something I cannot judge.
