Gonna go with clown, mainly because I attempt to use humour to break the ice/relieve tension in awkward situation. It doesn't always work but it's worth a shot.
Plus on occasion I can be a really funny guy, or so I am told.

I spend part of my time being a clown, part of it being a tough guy, part of it acting smart and the rest being generally unsettling.

So I picked other! =D

I'm going to have to go for "other": I'm not particularly tough, or lazy, or clown-like, I generally follow rules and I'm somewhere in the middle between loner and socialite. To specify I would say I'm the "eccentric guy", I study biology, I dress causally, have somewhat messy hair and have unusual interests since I do whatever I feel like :p

i consider myself a pseudo loner (in that i have loner tendencies but also have tendencies that break the loner role) i tend to like to stay away from people (including at home) but should someone take an interest in me and i find them to be one of the 10% of decent people then I'm talk to them and if i like them we become friends and with me a friend is someone i'd take a bullet for (I've taken a beating to protect a friend before) so yea i'm a loner with the exception of a small tightly knit group of friends i trust with my life

In a lot of animes and games they have character types, you see them all the time. So I was wondering what is your character type?
If you're doing anime character types you're forgetting the 'shy girl with ridiculously big breasts' character type, so I'll have to click 'other' :L

I chose other, because I am the outsider/outcast. I have very a very hard time finding people I can get along with, and who actually want be around me, otherwise they will ignore me. I'm a nice person, and I can get along with just about anybody, so it's kind of odd that nobody wants to around me, at least in the long run.

Nobody ever wanted to be anywhere near me, besides my family, mainly because they're outsiders too. Even when I was a little kid, I was viewed as some sort of abomination, and wanted nothing to do with me. These people made sure that I knew that I was an outcast, shunned, hated, and I should be destroyed.

I never really had any friends until recently, and I'm twenty years old, and in college. Over time, I started to think that maybe the reason people don't like being around me is because I have very powerful energy field (aura) around me. One of my friends said that when they first met me, they felt very uncomfortable, as though they were being suppressed.

An excellent example of trying to understand of how I felt is H. P. Lovecraft's short story "The Outsider". It gives the closest idea of how I felt and how people seemed to treat me.

I am what I need to be in any given situation. All of the above categories are just roles, and it's simple to switch between them as the need arises. Restricting myself to just one archetype never worked for me.

From an anime?

I'd be a combination of the "lazy but smart (not genius, though)" and the "comic relief" character types.

I'm pretty smart, but rather unmotivated for most things, and I am always cracking bad jokes/puns. :p

Loner.

There's a poster in the hall of my dorm, it says: Do you feel alone even when you're not?

I can't help but wonder if this is a trick question.

Loner here. It's not that I hate people; it's that people scare the crap out of me.

You should make an extra option saying most of the above. Since I've either been called them or think of myself that way sometimes for most of them except troublemaker.

I'd say I'm a mix of the loner and the clown. Which is bizarre and makes me seem like a weird insane, sadistic clown. I guess that's not far off, though.

Anime characters? Well, I'd hate to type myself like this, but I'm more the "effeminate macho-man" type than anything. Basically, those characters who look tough and imposing, possibly with more (muscle) mass than any character in the series, but are as (or more) delicate than any of the females in the same anime; also typically known as the unambiguously gay characters ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) . I'm a big guy, and I admit I'm pretty strong, but the most I do is intimidate, never actually fight; otherwise, I've actually found I'm far more in touch with my feminine side than about 90% of the men I've associated with. I'm open, honest to a fault, and am typically never afraid to show emotion or proclaim when something is "cute" or "adorable."

And before anyone says it, no I'm not gay, nor do I ever want to dress up in women's clothing. That is the sole thing I hate about this character type, and if not for it, I wouldn't be so embarrassed to proclaim myself akin to it

I'm an odd conflicted little loner who has been trying to become a full blown social butterfly. Results have been mixed. I'm still trying to figure out the kind of person I am. Excited for college next fall.
