There are many classes, all playing differently. My favorite class is the Sniper. Picking people off from so far away, that they can't see me. What is your favorite class and why?

(There was no room for medic, but seriously, who plays medic?)

Apparently some of you didn't get that I was joking about the medic thing... I was.

Depends. I tend to play medic, heavy, sniper or engineer depending on what the situation calls for. I barely use spy (im not good with it) or soldier (i just dont like it).

1.Medic

2.Heavy

3.Pyro

I get so angry when I see either team have 4-5 Snipers/Spies. Mostly because they are my least favourite classes.

You need to add Medic to the poll.

I do. Precisely because of shit like "Seriously, who plays medic?", I'm fed up of being in games worn down by attrition and no medics around to maintain us.

A single medic can totally change the course of a game, healing ALL your team-mates not just constantly overhealing the same heavy. A pair can make a team and unstoppable tidal wave of lead.

-deploy ubers
-or deploy kritz-krieg
-heal allies
-buff allies
-extinguish burning enemies
-spy-checker

The medic is able to take a much more commanding role, they have a hand on the logistics of health resupply and it is wise to listen to medics as they are going to be watching your back for spies and taking a wider tactical assessment of the front line.

A good medic keeps their uber meter constantly charging and always throwing ubered heavies into the enemy's base blowing up their toys. I've been against team with medic like that, the best chance I have is to play spy and hope to back stab him enough to rage quit. Otherwise the team is essentially unbeatable

Depends on what the team needs, but I'm more comfortable playing with Heavy, in second place Soldier and in third place, the Medic.

I suck at every other class.

Spy...theres nothing more satisfying than getting a few backstabs in a row.

Although sometimes when the front line is almost impossible to break through I either rage quit or play a different class for the rest of the match :p

I don't play it to often anymore but mostly Demoman.

I usually just taunt people and wait for them to chase me.

Or medic. I'm good with the medic.

To the 57 people who voted spy, I hate you. I hate you with the burning passion of Graham's number of suns!

There I am, minding my own business, when all of a sudden *stab*, "spies sappin' mah sentry", "spies sappin' mah teleporters" and of course "spies sappin' mah dispenser". Just fuck off, okay? GAWD! Over powered douches....

I'm joking with yall but I love me engie.

It's the class I think can help the most, gives out constant ammo and health, gets the all important heavy to the front as quickly as can be and defends choke points really well (except when you use the little farting sentry with a blue light on).

Also, his shotgun is a bit of a beast, the revenge crit one I mean. I have no clue what it's called.

Engineer, pyro, and spy. Pyro might be my favorite class now, idk. Making buildings is cool and extremely useful to the team, sure, but so is being able to murder spies and ambush snipers. Sniper is by far my least liked class to play, along with medic. Medic is just boring to me, so I hold a lot of respect for those you who get enjoyment out of (exclusively) playing medic.

Depends what my team is. OFten I'll go Medic, because Medic is useful regardless of what the rest of your team is, and a blutsauce kill on anyone is super satisfying.
Pyro with degreaser/axtinguisher makes 1 second kills on anything except overhealed heavies easy, which is nice.
Engineer is pretty straightforward, though using the gunslinger and being and combat engi has a really weird effectiveness to it that I like.
Heavy with a Brass Beast can be a better deep base defence then a level 3 sentry when the Heavy knows what they're doing, and the Tomislav is as brutal to unsepecting players as an expert Pyro. Heavy may be a simple class, but it is painfully effective.
The Force a Nature remains one of the most fun weapons to use. Unloading a clip into a Heavy and seeing him flung into an abyss beyond the stage is incredible.
Soldier is perhaps the most versatile class in the game. The normal rocket launcher is a pretty spiffy weapon, and there's lots of reasonable side grades available; the Black Box works well when you don't have a pocket medic, if you are very accurate, Direct Hit works well (sadly, most people using it aren't accurate at all), and the Liberty Launcher is a straight out upgrade.
Demoman is fun, but I much prefer the vanilla grenade launcher/stickybomb launcher/bottle(frying pan) setup to any of the demoknight sets. Don't care how many heads you have, my stickybombs turn you and 4 teammates into gibblets much faster than anything you can do.

Team Fortress is a team game. You need to be versatile to play it well, and that means playing several classes. Spy is fun and all, but I'm not a good spy so I don't play it outside of instaspawn pub games. Sniper isn't a bad class either, though most Snipers turn into weighted companion snipers, taking potshots at enemy snipers on the other side of the map and not twitching their aim towards other targets. I'm not accurate as a sniper and I'm not good at moving around the map as one, so I avoid it.
