Poll: what class do you usually choose?

Usually ranger, second to mage, unless said ranger requires fletching thousands of arrows. No, thanks.

I never liked up-close combat in most RPGs and MMOs, I don't know why.. I just like picking people off before they can even run up to you..

T've been going for the summoner classes so far, at least untill i've been in the games long enough to try something else
But first chars in most games have been chars with pets/summons
Necromancer in Diablo 2, Hunter in WoW, and lots of skill points in drones in EVE online.

I mainly stick to the class I know well which is mage (arcane) though I am enjoying the ranger class now I like spell casting more then any other ability in most games I play.

It's all about variety. Although I try to play different classes as much as possible I usually take a pew pew oriented one like rogue.

Im usally a fan of hybrids for there flexibility, but if not Ill be a healer.

Healer usally can take more damge than any magical DPS class, and they have a few damgaing spells of ther own, no matter what game you play.

I will admit that my guilty pleasure is status altering abilities. DOTs HOTs leech spells, and any thing that alters charater preformance make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I always choose the healing classes or the supporter/utility classes, that r giving particular bonuses, buffs or killing healers/casters and make their healing/casting less effective in short.... the guy that stands on the side of the front

Age of Conan
Every Healer does very decent dmg.
Infact, The TOS is both a healer, and one of the BEST dpsers in the game.
There heals aren't bad at all. (They may not have THE best heals in the game, but when you have 6+ healer classes that can also dps, healing isn't that much of an issue, specially if you just need an 'off-healer' to heal the dps and not hte main tanks. )

The games got issues though. The Conquerer (Best tank period) out dps's a pure dps class (Barbarian).

Why am i in the minority? A healer is crucial to every group. I usually don't set out unless I have at least 2.

As a long time gaming buddy of mine once said..."Get your ass over here, I need my meatshield."

I can't say why but being able to take the hits nobody else can and dish out the DPS that very few can just makes me happy

Something melee. I altenate between Melee DPS and Tank. In WAR I favor melee DPS. In most others I tend to favor the tank.
