Tbh Resi does need a massive reboot, it needs a new company, a new cast and needs to return to its horror roots. From what i hear RE5 wasnt scary at all and looking at it it just looks like a generic zombie action game in Africa (GOW + FC2?!)

Remake 2 and 3 with current gen graphics? Hell, it worked when they remade the original on Gamecube. 4 and 5 were NOT Resident Evil games, and anyone who says otherwise is clearly not one who has played Resident Evil. And it's not just the different "zombies," the whole feel is destroyed.

It's not even co-op that's the problem as Zero had two characters and that worked brilliantly!

They should bring back the Resident Evil Outbreak series. Either by putting the online servers back up, porting them to Wii/Xbox 360/PS3 and using that online service, or by making Resident Evil Outbreak File #3.

I've actually heard that RE4 is the best of the series. It changed the story, got a new location, new enemies. I can't comment on it personally as I've only played 5 (And only half of that), but I can't imagine very many people agreeing with you that 4 was bad.

Unfortunately that's the problem, changed story, new locations, new enemies. It stopped being Resident Evil. There's very little work to do to make Resident Evil 4 into a completely new game, separate from the Resident Evil franchise.

I would have no problem with them making another game, even changing several aspects. The important thing is that they stay true to the basic source formula. Things like focusing on strategy and conservation of resources and exploration. It doesn't matter what they change as long as they keep true to the original core concept.
