Poll: What do you call your USB drive?

I call it Dave.
His full name is Dave The Nerdy USB Flash Stick Drive of Memory. The Second.

I call it a "Jump Drive" usually, and a "Flash Drive" on occasion.

I absolutely hate when people call a flash memory store device a "USB". USB stands for "Universal Serial Bus" which is the most common way for a accessory to be connected to a computer at this time. So, if you call something a "USB" you could mean a mouse, a keyboard, a desk light, a battery charger, a joystick, a fan, a massage tool, etc.

In short, calling a flash drive (good name because it describes specifically the purpose of the device, jump drive is a brand assigned title) a "USB" is stupid, lazy, and to me indicates that you are most likely going to need help "Overclocking the cd thingy".

I should also note that without reading the OP I would not have known what you were talking about.

Either flash or jump drive. The company that made mine is called Kingston so me and a friend started calling it the "Kofi-Mon" after pro wrestler Kofi Kingston.

I call mine Super slut drive, mostly because we pummel the crap out of it transfering steam games etc, it gets used a lot. And yes it's a "brick" because 2-4 gigs isn't enough to transfer anything worthwhile in the gaming shed.

For some reason I cringe when I hear people call it a memory stick. I think it has something to do with a personal dislike of the word stick.

I think they get called Flash drives because the type of memory they use is called flash memory, a type of memory that retains information when power is removed, unlike the ddr ram inside a PC.
