I read it while I wait for it to download the updates or while I wait for any game with a long, boring, unskippable intro cutscene.

I might thumb through it, depends on if it looks purdy.

God of war 3 has an amazing looking book, CD and inside cover.

When writing for Wikipedia, it's sometimes used as a good non-internet based reference to cite.

I'll hold onto it and if I come across something during the game i'll reference the manual to see if it can be of some assistance.

How ever in GTA IV I used it quite a bit for the radio stations.

I give it a quick browse on the way home to see if there's any info on the game's units, characters or background, then keep it in the case.

I'm extremely obsessive compulsive, so not only do I keep the instruction manual, but I ensure it's in perfect condition, along with the case, disc, and everything else. I haven't read half the instruction manuals I have, but dammit, I refuse to allow any harm to come to them!

I read it through once even if I'm familiar with the controls. But there's not much to game manuals nowadays. I don't get how people lose their manuals though.

It's not like back with the Nintendo cartridge based consoles when games came in fragile bulky cardboard boxes.

I keep it and usually read it on the way home. Gives me something to do seeing as I won't have anything else to do in that time other than listen to music or read or book. Sure, I usually do those, but damn it I just bought a brand new game and I'm going to read the manual to pass the time.

Read about what those LED lights light for. And throw it back in the box. But instruction manuals are usually last resorts when trying to fix something with the product.

I do this, then I read it.

After that is usually just stays in the case. Unless I'm bored enough to look through it again.

I always keep them and if I buy a game used, I prefer it to have the manual. I'll look through it but I don't really read it unless I'm having trouble with something in the beginning.

I was with my friend the other day and I had just gotten a new game and we were playing it over at her house. She grabbed the manual and was looking at it and randomly did that. It kind of surprised me and was really funny. xD Just so random.

So no, you're not the only one. -pat pat- It's alright. x3

I read it while installing. mainly just to get in the right mood and prepare for the new world I'm entering soon. Often they have a great design, too.

I keep the instructions manual and read it. The fancier the manual is(Working Designs games and Final Fantasy X-2 have been some of the nicest so far),the more of it I am interested in reading.
If there is room for notes, I'll jot some down in there, be they cheats, secrets or just something that I'd like to remember for any future playthoughs.
