Curious as to how the people of the Escapist drive...

I personally drive a 3.8 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, 6 speed manual and I have great fun driving it.

So... what do you drive? Do you enjoy driving it?

Gotcha beat.

I drive a 240, from 1985. It passes emissions with flying colors, but it is a ***** to drive and maintain.

And it's automatic, with a transmission that is about to fall out.

I drive a 1995 SE Grand Am, automatic. Its my first car, and when i got it (during the summer) it was still under mileage at only shy over 101K. Its normally good for 150k. And i love my grand am. It sucks that pontiac went under. :(

Haha, I drive a dodgy 1991 Toyota Corona ST170 (Select Saloon). Automatic trans, but at least it still has the extras like power windows, electric mirrors, etc, etc.

Fuel consumption isn't too bad either ;)

A slowly rusting away 90 Chevy Cavallier five speed manual transmission, with front-wheel drive. I still don't know how many more winters it'll live through however, damn salted roads. I do like driving it however, mostly because I've found I greatly prefer manual transmissions.

What do I drive?

Occasionally I'll take my '03 Crysler PT Cruiser for a spin.

A pair of new balances (I don't even have my permit yet, I don't want to get it right before it starts snowing) they fit great and my feet and are comfortable.

I drive an automatic 2000 Honda Accord that used to belong to my dad. I like the car and it gets me to where I need to go so no complaints. Of course, I only get to drive now when I'm home from college.

I drive a 2005(or 2006 I don't remember) Toyota Rav4 that is an automatic, I know it's not that impressive, but it gets me from point A to B. I don't drive it all that often other than to the grocery store, or to drive home from my university at the end of each term.

Manual 1993 Toyota Hilux 2.4litre turbo diesel . I got it because it was my first car and that way I could get a liscence that allows me to drive both transmission types. I don't mind it but once the novelty of driving wears off I might get an auto.

This:

1979 Datsun 200B. 4 speed manual (soon to be 5 speed).

Gets better fuel economy then my Mum's 2001 Renault scenic. Goes a lot faster too.
I removed the emissions gear as that actually improves economy and decreases emissions if your car is tuned properly.

6.1L Hemi Dodge Challenger.....automatic :(

I really wanted to get the six speed manual but I have gout and a flare up in my left foot would make it painfully impossible for me to push in the clutch pedal. Still, the car is flat out amazing and fun to drive. It has ruined all practical cars for me.
