Some of the points a game needs:

1.Easy to use and easy to learn controls.
2.Epic Multi-player
3.Good Story-line (If it has one(MAG in particular))
4.Quick load out screen (to those who care)

I prefer good gameplay. It'd be nice to have a good story, too, but if I had to choose between the two, gameplay.

The ability to do whatever I want. In San Andreas, I could be easily amused by spawning a flying car and running over hookers with it. I have already spent 30 hours of my life doing that and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Mostly, it's story that draws me in. But the gameplay mechanics help a lot.

And yes, I am one of the few people who likes game music. But it's not as important as other things. (Still, anything Nobuo Uematsu has written music for automatically wins.)

I refuse to vote in this poll. Game designers should be going for all 4. As such I expect all 4 to be exemplary.

I will say though, if a game developer wants me to keep a game(and not rent or return it), it has to have a stellar addictive multiplayer(MW2, WoW, CS:S) or amazing replay value (DA:O, ME2).

Fun, addictive gameplay that requires skill is what I like in FPS games.

Huge, open worlds with a great story is what I like in RPG games.

And phat lewt is what I like in MMORPGs. Phat, phat, phat lewt.

Priority:
1)Story
2)Gameplay
3)Music

Games without a good storyline to get you drawn into get boring very quickly, and usually leave you not wanting to play through it a second time. Games without good gameplay are obviously boring and unplayable, and games without good music don't have a very good feel to them.

You left out the most important thing. Fun.

A game that is genuinely fun can have all or some of these things and still be successful because it's enjoyable to play. I like a good story and gameplay of course needs to be functional or the whole thing falls apart, but at the end of the day the only measuring stick of a games worth (at least for me) is whether or not it's fun to play. The rest is just gravy.

Story and gameplay, although some games with good gameplay can get away with a crap story, depending on the type. I think decent graphics, meaning not standing out as bad, are important, and good graphics are nice but not essential by any means.

1) Story
2) Gameplay
3) Graphics
4) Music

I can really enjoy a game with some bad gameplay if the story is great, if the story is bad and the gamepley is great its a failure in my eyes (What are you playing? What is the point of playing? The controls can be flawless but you have no goal to push you through to actually play it - its like watching a horrible movie where you have to push buttons to watch more of the horrible movie)
With that said, I can really enjoy a game with good gameplay with NO story at all - I enjoy the process and not the final goal.
A game with good graphics gets bonus points, sometimes at the cost of gameplay, though i can enjoy a good game with bad graphics.
Music is more of a tool to help get you in the mood rather than being a merit on its own (and yes some music is great, but I can go to youtube and listen to it there instead of playing a game)

Well, other than the game being fun....
I suppose that story is most important, followed by gameplay. Music is also very important to me, but I don't think it is necessary for a good game.

If you ask me -
1. Gameplay (If its not fun whats the point on playing it)
2. Story (Whats the point of a campaign if you dont understand it)
3. Graphics (If its all pixelated then i cant see anything)
4. Music (The music can be as bad as it wants, but it wont stop me from playing a good game)

I want to see a story I'm really interested in. For me, music and gameplay are quite close. I'm a somewhat musician and when I was riding to Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, damn the moment felt EPIC and I thought that this is a hell of a game. Those who have played it know the part I'm talking about.

Gameplay, then story.

Of course then there's games like civilisation where you make the story yourself, which is an interesting idea and means the producers don't need to waste time on that aspect.
