I was wondering if people preferred Indoor or Outdoor Venues.

Personally, I like indoor shows. The show isn't as likely to be affected by weather and I think on the whole the sound is better indoors.

Indoor. Preferably a small venue not some massive arena. The acoustics are crap then.

Glasgow Barrowlands and Edinburgh Liquid Rooms FTW!! ^_^

it really depends on the band, or situation of the concert. I love outdoor festivals in stadiums and things like that. that said, it's hard for a solo band to carry across an intimate and exciting show in a stadium

Ooh good one. The only reason why I prefer outdoor to indoor is because I can have a fag. That's about it.

I've only ever been to one concert and it was outdoor. Though the seating area in front of the stage had a roof over it. I was way back on the lawn though, no roof over my head. But it was an awesome concert.

When I go to an indoor one I'll be able to make a judgment.

I picked 'whatever' because I think it really depends on the band.

Indoor concerts can have more special effects and whatnot, but outdoor concerts are more fun and easy going.

Provided that the company producing the concert provides an adequate "band shell/ band stand" outdoor concerts do not have to be useless and weather mandated. "Pops goes the Fourth" has always been a fantastic outdoor concert. I hope to go one year.

Outdoor, because it's far less cramped. You can move around most of the time. Plus, it's usually a lot less hot.

The best concert I've ever been to was outdoors. They are less cramped, it's easier to move around and the whole experience is generally more relaxed. I just wish people would move to the sides if they want to smoke.

I don't like concerts, large groups of people I don't know and really loud noise.
I'd rather save the money and buy the CD (yes I still do that) and listen to it all I want then spend alot of money for a one time unsatisfactory experience.

no wonder you dont like it with that attitude. you could always try some booze before a concert to be more tolerant for people/noise ;P
Alcohol, to put it bluntly, tastes like shit.
Also, I'm underage and drinking for the sake of thinking it makes you cool is not only stupid but a pathetic grab for attention.

It depends on the gig. Some simply wouldn't fit indoors. Others are better for actual venues. And then there's the gigs where you just wish you could be out in the middle of no-where, volume at the max, dancing around in a light sprinkle of rain for the sake of staying cool in a mosh.

Yeah, I agree. I've seen some awesome concerts outdoors with tons of people and great sound - Flaming Lips comes to mind. But I probably prefer indoors, because I'm just not much of an outdoors person in general. :p

indoor gigs are ok don't get me wrong going into a hot smokey room filled with people moshing and screaming there lungs out with music overriding that is freaking awesome but i prefer outdoor due to the said cooling ways but outdoor can leed to quite a lot on sunburn witch is no fun. nighttime outdoor gigs ftw you cant go wrong with those

I voted indoor but based my decision on pretending it was back in the day and I could smoke inside. No smoking inside means you have to smell stale ale and some fat gits armpits and ass all night! Joy!

You can't go wrong using punctuation and spelling either, but y'know.
