Sometimes I met a peoples that say if a person is very intelligent, means he/she have a lot of knowledge. That of course is not true.
A normal people like me and many others can have more knowledge from someone that is more smart than us if we have the will to learn more.

With that said, what do you prefer to have if you had a option to take:

-Do you prefer to have Knowledge to learn more interesting and unique things around the world that other didn't knew or thoughts was exist?

-Do you prefer to have Intelligence to be able to use it to find solutions for difficult problems in your life and to suppress other people with your high intelligent.

For me I want more knowledge. I love to see new things in my life cause I must admit I am a very curious person in nature. I want to learn more things than the "media" don't showing to us to learn or see.

As I said, you don't need to be very smart to learn a lot of things that you are interesting in it.

When I say knowledge, I don't mean knowledge about science, history or a new discovery, I mean knowledge in general.

For example you don't need high Intelligent for you to learn different types of Spiders around the world, read all the books of your favourite author, study a culture of other country etc.

You don't need to be very smart if someone want to learn more about something he/she is interesting in it.

I voted knowledge. Knowledge with intelligence is good, but overall I'd rather have the enthusiasm and drive to learn about something than have the ability and no passion to do so. And, I have to say, your description of the whole intelligence thing...

Knowledge is power, guard it well. Or as Cersei says, power is power.

Power resides where men believe it resides. It is a shadow on the wall.

I mean if you are in a competition with other peoples like in chess or a sport than you need to use your intelligent to win.

Wasn't "suppress" the right word?
Sorry, not so good with the english language yet...

Intelligence is obviously the more superior one, as it allows you to adapt to new situations, but you're always going to need small amounts of knowledge to complete a task. My system is to learn the knowledge as it becomes essential, and to forget anything that I'm not going to need for a couple of years. In theory at least, I've still got a load of useless crap inside my head.

Alright, that clears it up. I asked because I thought you were meaning something derogatory and kinda bigoted. Anyway, I reckon the word you're looking for would be competitive, maybe. To pit your intelligence against someone else and win... I think that works. To be competitive with your intelligence, possibly.

No worries though, your English is pretty good already, I reckon you'll pick up the rest of what you need to know easily enough.

I would go with intelligence as to me it's more useful in a situation while knowledge is more like something to use in a social gathering (like explaining how battery work or something).

A house is only as good as the foundation it is built on.

Intelligence all the way.

Intelligence. As it is a tool that can always be applied. Knowledge is a limited tool if you don't have intelligence to guide it.

Am I correct when I think this thread is about "Street Smarts" (knowledge) vs "Book Smarts"? (intelligence)

If that's the case, I'd go with knowledge, as the things you know are more practical to everyday life.

The other way around; street smarts is more akin to intelligence and book smarts to knowledge.

Intelligence is the ability to work things out from a base knowledge, and to apply knowledge correctly.

Knowledge is the memorisation of important information.
