Poll: What do you think about Escapist badges

As I was reading down a thread earlier I found myself comparing my badges to those of the other posters. I then went on my Profile and arranged my badges to show me (in my eyes) in the best light. This got me thinking.

What do you on the Escapist think of the badge system? What do you think are the hardest to get? What order do you put them in? Do you even care?

I don't care about them really, I am happy when I get one though.

I used to be a bit obsessive over them but now I'm just happy if I get them but I'm not going out of my way to get them. A lot of them require no real effort to get anyway, like watch a bunch of videos. (Although I do like my Game Noir one)

I really love this Spork... It's the best badge ever as far as I'm concerned. I love it so...

Edit: It would seem that, after actually looking at the badges I have, that I only show ones that means something.

The Spork, because it's damned awesome.
The award for getting 100% on the Bioshock Quiz, because I quite like Bioshock and I was able to fill out that quiz.
Morpheus, because I went that long without getting mod wrath (I would've had Neo, but the damned Super Bowl happened...)
And finally that lovely mug stating I've been here longer than a year. I believe that's one of the most important. Last but not least, neh?

I like them overall.

Right now I'm determined to get the Neo Badge seeing as how I'm so close to getting it.

Most of them i don't pay attention to or obsess over getting them except for the Quiz related ones. I always try and get the quiz badges because i feel those are testament to one's knowledge of the geek world.

I like 'em. My "Long-Time Listener, First-Time Caller" badge is my favorite. Aren't you? Yes you are! Yes you are!

I like them, they show others what you've done on/for the site. Nothing wrong with that, and you have the option to hide them if you really don't want to see them.

It's cool when I get a new one, but they don't really matter to me.

Kind of a shame I have to choose four to highlight. Although really you can tell a lot about someone by which ones they choose to show off.

I have over 100 eh! (Ha, internet meme joke eh) Badges lose thier magical effect after aboot 50 ehh. (I'm embracing he canadian stereo type ehh)

I think it's a original; never seen badges on other forums before (but then again, I haven't been to many). It's a nice touch, but not very relevant to my interests.

If they come, they come. I like being surprised.
I just want to be able to get rid of a couple of them. My Rebecca Mayes badges are absolutely embarrassing.

If I get one thats cool. But I'm not really going out of my way to get them. They are a nice little reward though.

To me they are like trophies/achievements. I don't really care about them, i'm just here for the awesomeness.

Not a bad thing to have. Shows you've contributed. But like other places, it shouldn't be something to pursue. Just take it as it comes IMO.
