I just saw the new Harry potter movie and HATED IT; they took out most of the important parts (okay yes its a movie you don?t have 40 hours to go over EVERY scene) but adding a new scene and burning down the house???? That was NEVER in the book and where the heck did the rows and rows of wheat come from DX . It maid NO sense to burn the house down and will mess up the whole book next year unless they just plan on cutting the "bonding" event in the next book. I hated the movie mainly because it was maid not to entertain fans and new comers alike it was maid ONLY to entertain people that have never read the books b4. I hated it but others might not so I thought I would ask

i havent seen it and im not going to but what do you expect? do you actually think hollywood cares about the people who read? no, the point of the movie is to entertain all who see it and keep the fanbase thats based off the movies, not the book. it sucks i know but its the way it is, why do you think many authors never have thier novels turned to film? cause films destroy books. now im not a harry potter fan but it sounds like they just butchered another book that could have gotten kids interested in reading. i know this doesnt have a lot to do with the post but i already wrote this so i might as well post it right?

I thought the movies were good.

Off topic, I always wondered who would win...Voldemort or Lord Sauron

Back on topic: Where was Voldemort in HP 6?

I agree. I liked the film as well but those added scenes felt tacked on. This was the first HP film that strayed that far from it's source material. I think they should have spent more time learning about who Voldemort was similar to what they did in the book. I still enjoyed the film though. Obviously the movies are never as good as the books but this one did seem to lose it's direction more so than the others. :/

I only just realised this when I read your post.
He was never actually in the movie, was he?
They talked about him alot though.

And at the OP, please try to work on your punctuation/structure.
I'm not a grammar nazi, it's just that it makes you sound like a twelve year old fanboy.
Unless you are one, in which case carry on.

You know what I wanna know more than where Voldemort was? where was Harry's invisibility cloak? It was like they lost the guy who did the effect for it, because they totally rewrote a bunch of scenes for no apparent reason to not include it. I mean, what? The thing with slughorn and felix? And at the end? They didn't really cut out any length, or provide any new or interesting concepts, so why did they alter it?

I'm not particularly bothered about the movies. They're alright, but I prefer the books. And yeah, I did find it weird that they altered some scenes for no apparent reason.

I'm saying I hate all the Harry Potter films even if I haven't seen the new one, because I pretty much already know its a big pile of crap. I much, much, MUCH prefer the books, and I prefer the first books at that. They just lost their child-like charm in the later books... became too serious in my opinion.

Film one: Brilliant!
Film two: Wow, freaking amazing!
Film three: Hmm, that's not quite right...
Film four: Where's all the good bits gone?
Film five: God Radcliffe's a shit actor
Film six: I came here to be dissapointed and I got my wish

the Ginny-Harry romance was shot to pieces too

I think all the movies have been sortof too short, but i didn't mind the added scene.

I was actually unsure of whether or not it was in the book, been a long time since i've read it.

I stopped watching the movies around the point where, knowing the source material, I left the theater rather rather confused as to what all just happened. I haven't seen anything past... uhh... Four, I think. Fuck, they all kind of blend in together at this point <,<

The girl who plays Ginny just isn't that great an actress, hopefully she'll get better but in this film her performance was lacking.

I don't read the books because theres a movie it's the lazy way to go. I liked the Harry Potter movie and atleast you seen a movie that in some bits you didn't know what was going to happen because it wasn't in the book.

The film changed the death eaters' from horridly fearsome wizards, to incredibly pretentious vandals.
