Is that so? Guess I do have something that identifies me - I'm a 40k nut. Heh.Soviet Heavy said:Hey, I recognize you. Both you and JesterRaiin like 40k, so that's how I identify you.Sonicron said:A select few know me and I do get along with them quite well, but considering the Escapist forums as one huge entity I'd have to say my status is 'unrecognized'. I'm not one for making big waves, and I don't have any memorable quirks that make me stand out of the crowd, which is just how I like it.
Yeah, but I blame you're avatar, it makes me think of the guy with the dancing Turian avatar.SpaceBat said:I very much doubt anyone here would ever recognize me. I rarely stand out here.
Ward's Crunch has gotten a little better, but his Fluff is terrible. Especially the infamous Khornate Knights incident.Sonicron said:Is that so? By the way, as far as the quality of W40k writing it concerned... I don't play the tabletop, so I've never been affected by the alleged atrocities of Matt Ward firsthand, but most of the novels put out by the Black Library are still damn good. Especially the stuff written by Abnett and Dembski-Bowden.
I read about that infamous Khornate Knights incident, but from what I gather the fluff behind Kaldor Draigo is even more of an abomination.Soviet Heavy said:Ward's Crunch has gotten a little better, but his Fluff is terrible. Abnett's writing is good, but I am so sick of the Horus Heresy novels right now. They started out so strong, but then it got into the heads of the writers to drag it out for as long as possible. They are going on nearly twenty books and are still nowhere close to the siege of Terra.
That I feel is the biggest problem with the Black Library and 40K fluff as a whole: they expand sideways, instead of moving forward. So far, only the Ciaphas Cain books and Relic's games from Dawn of War 2 onwards have pushed past M41 and into the early M42.
Oh yeah... I forgot, there are 'things' I want to do to you, aren't there?! =Pstaika said:Modesty is a strength of mine

Neutral? Really? ... Really?!Caramel Frappe said:Must say neutral. I'm alright with that too, because I want my actions to be what people say about me since I still got a long way to go in helping the community. When I say help, it's pretty much supporting, lending a hand, and giving out civil debates is all. There are some people I came to know who score the 'Good Reaction' overall though.
