Poll: What do you think of Runescape?

I used to play it(quite a lot, I admit. I was lvl 92 when I walked away forever.), but I just stopped playing it for a few days, and when I considered going back I suddenly realized how soulless a lot of it is. It has a few interesting quests that are occasionally slightly amusing, but apart from that it uses the Skinner Box (see the Extra Credits vid) much more than even a lot of other MMOs to keep players hooked. It isn't fun; you just keep waiting and waiting, grinding and grinding, telling yourself: "just a couple more levels and this game will become awesome..."
...but it doesn't.

Haha, I used to have discussions about the complexity of pokemon in High school in the hallways with a friend.

I used to play Runescape, don't anymore though. It's great though, if you're looking just for a no-hassle social gaming experience.

And the players there are very easy to troll, lol.

A Tengu advance cruiser (most expensive ship i have)

A drake battle crusier which is possiably the most used ship in eve

a rokh battle ship (which you cant stop)

Oh my, i say, i played eve a while ago, it was a hardcore month. Then i realized, it felt like work. Noooo! Anyway, i still kind of enjoy runescape. I have to say that it is infact, a good game. But i just couldn't take the grind that i felt from having skills 60+. It was a little too time consuming and boring for me. Im a sophomore in HS, but i played alot 8-12. I miss those days

I enjoyed it, definitely an interesting game. Plus the quests are just fantastic. I've never played an MMO with quests quite as complex as Runescape.

It's crap.

It's free crap, mostly played by people who either have poor taste in games, or simply don't know any better.

Often these people are young.

So basically the game itself it shit, but it also provides a valuable service in keeping its playerbase away from others. Its horrible, horrible playerbase.

It was alright as an introduction to MMO's, despite all the bad things about Runescape, I still have to say the community is the main reason I stopped playing. I wouldn't go back and play it again either... ever.
