Where's the poll? I'm not seeing any poll :S

As for what I think about Book 2 so far, it's basically Book 1 but with the teenage hormonal stupidity cranked up to 9000. From the very first 2 episodes I immediately thought "so Korra has learned nothing and gone back to being a whiny clueless *****? Really, are the writers actually doing this?"
As much as the writers think it's the right direction for the show, I honestly don't know how viewers are supposed to LIKE or sympathize with such a protagonist (or group of protagonists). I don't understand how we're supposed to have any connection with a protagonist who hates everyone, makes stupid decisions and throws tantrums while being surrounded by several other one-dimensional characters.

Maybe the typical Nickelodeon pre-teen (or teen) fan enjoys this shit, but I sure as hell don't. Aang's story was very family/child-friendly as well but it was still an absolute blast to watch. It was filled with awesome fight scenes, incredible animation & color palette, light-hearted humor and INCREDIBLE character development/arcs. Meanwhile everything in LoK feels incredibly forced, even the humor! It's as if the creators are unsure what to do with the show's plot or characters.

Maybe I'll skim through the rest of LoK Book 2 once they release the rest of the episodes.

My biggest problem with it so far is that Korra seems completely determined to hate almost every single person that ever tried to support her, and at the same time she immediately blindly trusts the one guy who honestly says to her face "I have great plans for you."

...So, are we gonna have to wait on Aang to fix everything like he did in the last season? Because I'm having trouble seeing Korra as smart enough to do it.
Korra seems, to me at least, to be going through a typical teenager phase where she wants to be seen as an adult yet feels like most of the people around her (Tenzin and her parents for example) still see, and treat, her as a child. Tenzin keeps trying to get her to continue studying being the Avatar and the Spirit World ,do her homework essentially. Her parents are trying to protect her from their own past mistakes and future dangers which Korra sees as lying to her and thinking she's just a little kid.
When Unalag comes in he treats her like an adult, even though he seems to see her as little more than a pawn to get control of the Southern Water Tribe.
And Unalag knows how to manipulate people into getting what he wants. He has played into Korra's insecurities about her family and mentor, has told her things she wanted to hear (even if it was subconsciously) and has used politician level wordplay and logic to divert her suspicions while he secures power in the Southern Water Tribe.

Korra is not stupid, she's just immature and a touch naive.

I've got to agree that more Asami would be an improvement. She, Mako and Bolin, were the ones who lost the most from the conflict between benders & non-benders, but they seem to be the most passive/neglected in this season. Asami picked up the pieces of her life and is trying to move forward, not only for her own sake but for the many employees of her father's company as well. She's also the best voice for non-bender perspective on events, it seems s shame to relegate a character like that to the sidelines.
I disagree on the notion that Mako lost something / sacrificed something at the end of season one. He pretty much dumped Asami and started humping Korras side from one moment to the next, he got a place in the police force and his financial troubles are pretty much gone (as if they weren't while he was leeching off Asamis wealth). Whatever Mako might have lost (and I can't think of anything) Asani lost thousandfold in comparison.

Bolin was a man and 'gave up' Korra. He lost his teammmembers and has no success in the pro bending scene. So there I can agree.

Asami was pretty much fucked all over. She had to suffer to create this happy ending scenario and all the consequences, besides the three minutes screentime she got 'til now, are (understandable) shoved aside to show Korra acting like a ***** again and again.

Didn't Mako & Bolin

Also lose both of their parents in the conflict between benders & non-benders?

Or am I remembering that incorrectly?
I do agree that Asami is the worst off...not only did she lose her mother to the conflict, but in a very real sense lost her father as well.

Other than wanting to reach through the screen and slap the shit out of Korra, it's good.

Her uncle was sitting on the damn throne, a throne that isn't his! He brought an invasion force. Get a goddamn clue, girl. You're not that naive.

I do actually like the play between Tenzin and his siblings. It's something natural, it's unresolved from their childhood and they're in a high stress situation looking for the missing child (I forget her name).

Also, I hate what they're doing with Bolin. The whole first season I wanted Korra with Bolin cause he's so much better than Mako. He's funny, he tries. Mako just stands there and looks cool and is kinda a dick. Bolin deserves so much better. But now I don't like Korra either so Bolin and Asami better suit each other.

I'm enjoying the stuff with Tenzin and co, more than everything going on with Korra. NOt that its bad its just not as appealing to me as Tenzin.

I'm just hoping that now they have 3 seasons set up they can pace everything properly, the romance in perticularly I found, suffered in the first season because they rushed it.
