Copy-pasted buildings/caves! They're awful!

Other things:

SPECIAL really doesn't change the game; only what parts of the game are going to be easy, and what parts are going to be hard. Your skills should make you end up playing a totally different game.

3rd person mode. See I actually like it, so that's not what I'm requesting. I'm about fed up with the people who say it's "clunky" or "you couldn't ever hit anything with it". What is wrong with people? Shooting enemies is a little bit harder in 3rd person, but melee fights are much easier to see, and you can use it to get a better look of your surroundings; but everybody is being such a whiny baby about it. So my actual request is to change all these whiny babies' diapers, so that they'll stop complaining.

Ability to play as a ghoul. Or a super mutant. Seriously.

I want a game that never fails on me quite simply. It looking prettier would be a bonus. The gamebryo engine simply doesn't cut it anymore.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and the Seattle area would be cool. It's got the islands in Puget Sound, hi-tech weapons at Ft. Lewis, SuperMutants living in Mt. Rainier, and an underground of Communist Chinese "hiding" among the asian population, mutated Polar Bears from the zoo. OK I need to stop, I'm giving this way too much thought!

Firstly It needs a new engine, the Gamebryo engine is really not up for the task. New Vegas looked awful (Even on the highest settings) and the NPC animations are terrible. It also seems to be a really badly optimized engine, how come my machine that runs Bad Company 2 with all settings on High (Except AA which is on 4x) struggles to run New Vegas on a mix of Low and Medium? It's also really buggy, and crashes a lot, and that stops me from really getting immersed in the world.

I also want the whole game structure to be more complex: Fallout 3 felt so awesome for the first 8 hours or so... but once you begin to see how the game works, and you can watch the cogs move, it loses it's feel of wonder. It need a more complex morality system, the quests need to be much more strongly connected (So what you did in one will affect others) and the NPC's need much more complex dialog trees (Perhaps switch back to text instead of voice acting - as Extra Credit's suggested)

I loved Fallout 1 and 2 and was worried when I heard the details for Fallout 3, but I did actually enjoy it - even the DLC (Lore? What lore? La la la la la, can't hear you!). Fallout: New Vegas I am also enjoying, so far not as much as Fallout 3 however.

I do enjoy playing in the American states/cities/areas/whatever... but I do hope someone would make a British version, even a decent mod. Would love to see London with a Fallout theme.

The Fallout IP is so old now, that I think it could do with a very different story angle to freshen things up a bit. The general setting has a lot of possibilities, the lore is very open ended.

One obvious approach that comes to mind would be a spy story. The wasteland world has plenty of conflict that could fuel that. Also an opportunity to delve further into the high-tech aspects of the wasteland worlds. There are factions with very advanced tech but we know little about them.

Another idea that I think would be cool, would be to focus the story on the efforts of a private company trying to recreate commercial flight. I'm not thinking of modern day jumbos and the like, more like early flight pioneers trying to create courier and passenger services with old, rusty, beaten aircraft hulls.

List time!

Shit I want from the next Fallout:

1 - Morrowind style fast travel, instead of instant map teleportantion
2 - Multiplayer.
3 - Vehicles. Always seemed odd to me that there aren't any vehicles in the wasteland.
4 - A finished game.

I thought new vegas made a lot of strides towards being more like the old games, particularly in the speech section. There was a few things it could use though.

The NPC companion system wasn't robust enough. They need to be told that they can take chems and when they can. "Use stims when hurt a little" ect. To that end, some bugs like poisoned companions automatically die when aid is applied need to be fixed. They also need to keep a mind towards not breaking my stealth. does not equal start shooting.

Allow me to have more than one human NPC.

I'd like to see a return of the Wannamingo. Short, fast, heavily armored with a radioactive bite and occupying dark places I'm not convinced there's no niche for them to fill.

Like everyone I'm sure I want a game that's not horribly flawed thanks to bugs. The last two were.

I want a car. And I want it to work like the fallout 2 car.

I'm still waiting for that damned DLC to know where my Courier's from.
I personally always think it's just me from Fallout 3.

Well, obviously build it off the Skyriim engine... Maybe add some kind of mount, cars or something, also, a bit better gun play. It's fun, but it is quite awkward to play as a first or third person shooter. Other than that just a good setting which they will do anyway.

I want to see what the Fallout universe is like OUTSIDE of America. Since I'm from England I'd like to see a Fallout game based on this place, even if it wouldn't quite have the same style.

Personally, I would love for them to remake Fallout 1 and 2 but with the Fallout 3 engine.

But at this point how about a F***ing game that doesn't lock up or bug out with updates!

You know, I'm going to have to go with mounts, but not JUST mounts. There are motorcycles just LYING AROUND, and cars with engines that EXPLODE. This means there are viable parts and powersources all throughout the wasteland, NOT GETTING USED. What a waste...

But I have another area I'd like to work with: Origin. You let me choose what I look like, what my talents are, what weapons I'm good at... Lemme choose where I want to come from. Let me be a savvy wastelander, a super mutant, a Deathclaw, an Enclave soldier, WHATEVER. Your RPG elements will increase in power of you do this for me.

For Bethesda to have nothing to do with it.
I'd hate to keep sending this guy messages about being quoted, but he is absolutely right. Bethesda did such a horrible job of writing. From being uncreative (using the exact same enemies from the first two games with the exact same motivations and goals) to the way the wasteland interacted with each other (which didn't happen) to creating a believable post-apocalyptic universe, they failed on every account. It still baffles me that people actual think it was a well done game.

-vehicles would be actually kind of cool
-maybe a new locations, there are still some parts of the US that haven't been visited (in cannon FL, anyways), but some out of U.S. ideas could be like an AU Cuban or Cuba like island that turned communist before the bombs in fallout fell instead of the 1960s, imagine the survivors on the island struggling in a post-apocalyptic civil war between the communist (maybe theri leader could be the ghoulified leader of the old rebellion) and a different group of survivors(they don't have to be democratic per-see, maybe a monarchy or something else)
-more weapons
-maybe a bigger variety in companions
-less bugs
