'02 Honda Accord, there's about a billion of cars just like mine per square mile. It's for good reason though. Great gas mileage, no problems with it whatsoever.

I'll probably get an Element soon. I like how roomy they are inside. I can hold my surfboard and kayak in it. And I can go on road trips and basically live out of it...

When I move back to charleston, I'll get a moped. It's even cheaper on gas AND it will be sooooo much easier to find parking.

Simple enough question. With me hating driving right now, with all the snow and ice that has found the Midwestern United States as of late, it made me wonder how other people get around and how they handle the bad weather. So, what is your main transportation source?

I have a 97 Chevy Lumina. It hasn't been doing very well with all the bad weather and since I live 10 minute from everything, it's made getting around a *****.

EDIT: Forgot to put a "Bus" option.
My vehicle isn't so much a car as a lifestyle.

I drive this beast:

This baby has power windows, locks, steering, brake booster, rear defrosters, AM/FM/CB radio, cruise control, climate control, adjustable air ride suspension, brake booster, leather seats, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a 425 cui (7.0L) vertically mounted V8, Front wheel drive 3 speed auto transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, and all of these things are factory options that all work.
Cadillac Club, yay!

I often walk but if I have to go to school or go to the shops I am often driven. Although walking is always my favorite form of transportation, you rich businessmen can spend $250,000 a year on a car I will just keep my legs thank you very much.

I drive a beat to hell $500 1985 Ford F150 with 275,000 miles on it. It's packing an inline six in the front, an overdrive four-speed manual in the middle, and rear wheel drive at the back.

Why do I have such a beat up old piece of junk? It's simple. 1: It's as reliable as time itself. It's got over a quarter million on the clock, yet the engine runs better than those half it's age! 2: When I wrecked the car I had before, it was all my parents could afford to get me. 3: I just plain like the poor old thing. And finally, 4: It's got a manual transmission.
I used to have a 1990 with the V-8. That truck was great, until the motor blew on me, but I think the guy who sold it to me knew it was going bad. Bastard.

I mostly take the bus, although I sometimes have access to the family Toyota Camry (2003) if I need to. Or if I'm really lucky I get the Rav4, which is beautiful (and almost never).

I drive a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro.

Mine looks pretty similar, except it's really dark purple. I know next to nothing about cars, but since mine hasn't exploded on me or stopped running i'm assuming it's pretty decent.

Haha, my parents bought an '84 F250 with a six. I could tell on the test drive it had months to live because it overheated and had no oil pressure. Sho 'nuff, it just randomly decided it didn't want to have compression anymore after two months.

My '85 is a good one though. I bought it with just under 200 on it. I had to do a head gasket at 265, a clutch a few hundred after that, a carb, and a fuel pump. That sums up the major work I've had to do to the drivetrain, and none of the failures caused it to actually die.
My Deville needed a new headgasket, so I put a new motor in instead. It ended up being cheaper. It runs great now, despite the intermittent "Service Engine Soon" light. I get about 25 miles per gallon around town, 32 on the freeway, and average around 8 idling down to work and back up again every day (My theory is that she hates the cold as much as I do). I am about $2200 into repairs, with a few thousand to go before she is factory stock again (Mostly suspension work). But I figure I can put over a million miles on her easily, since it is a car I have dreamed of owning since i was 14...

To get to/from I usually take the bus. Once there, I walk and occasionally walk to campus. I do my grocery shopping and the like with my car. I have one of three options and I use them all at different times. My car is a Chevy Aveo in case anyone cares.

Train. I don't drive (yet). Learning, though. Being in Australia though, that still means I probably have another year of learning to go before I get my P's and get to drive on my own.
