it has to be cod6 because the fact is that assassin's creed 2 looks like the best out of all of them, but then how long is it gonna last? not as long as cod6 because cod6 has multiplayer and people STILL play cod4 so therefore cod6 will be the best because it will actually last more than 20 hrs, but assassin's creed 2 looks like the best but no multiplayer is the kiss for death

LOVED the original. The 2nd one never existed in my version or reality. Since this is a re-make of the original not the non-existant 2nd one, then this is on my radar.
Their doing a third one :O a must buy!!!
Yeah. Not really big on the promotional circuts. Heck my local Gamestop didn't even have it for pre-order. But apparently this September is the release date. I saw an ad for it on Steam so I'll probably just buy the download of it.

According to the IGN preview, despite a different developer they're staying true to the game's tongue-in-cheek nature.

Though it will be spring over here (Australia) I'll be looking forward to Batman, MW2 and Bioshock the most. Maybe AC2 if I have money left over.

Modern Warfare 2 looks ridiculously cartoony; snowmobiles? fending off waves of 50 enemies or more? For something billing itself as a realistic, modern warfare shooter that sounds dubious and well, stupid. I mean I'm all for a good Call of Duty game, but the single player looks too much like James Bond wrapped up in G.I. Joe pseudo bullshit to appeal to me. I mean honestly, Ice Picks and SNOWMOBILES?!?! If Infinity Ward wants to do that, then give me my G.I. Joe style laser rifle and let me battle Cobra, not some random Russian/Kazakh cut n' paste troops.

Call of Duty has really just emphasized the caricature part of the game; It plays like a bizarre mix of Halo and Counterstrike with killstreaks getting you phat loots. Because of that you also get the worst of both worlds in terms of community, so I tend to stay clear of that.
I would only be interested in something like that if it was more like a next-gen, upgraded version of America's Army, which is REALLY how modern warfare works (when you face off against an equally well-equipped, well-trained fighting force in a small squad environment, which i doubt will ever happen for many, many years.)

Assassin's Creed 2 looks okay, I kinda grooved to the original but didn't like the lack of re playability (and those goddamn flags), but I'll have to see some reviews first.

However, I just finished the demo of Batman: Arkham Asylum. and it was awesome. Best superhero game I've played in a LOOOOONG time. Excellent fighting and movement system, and a REALLY nice setup for PC (No loading times at all! and with those graphics? I'm sold.)

Oh and Brutal Legend! I'm totally getting that unless the reviews say otherwise (which I highly doubt). I loved Psychonauts and it really just looks like a blast. Rocktober (incidentally my birthday also) can't come soon enough.

I hear there's a new MechWarrior game coming out based on the Succession Wars! Let me at that Warhammer, I know the Atlas's weak spot is it's auto cannon ammo!
This as well. Hook me up with a good ol' Marauder or even a Catapult, I want some next-gen 'mechs to scrap.

Dragon Age, Borderlands, and a few other PC games I can't recall the titles of.
Dragon Age is the game currently in production by BioWare, right?

Also, out of the given options, Assassin's Creed II. The original Assassin's Creed was such fun :D

I am most excited about Assassins Creed 2 because I loved the first game, but I'm also excited about Left 4 Dead 2, because it comes out on my birthday.

Assassins Creed 2 for me, its the only sneak around game I like, that is IF you can call Metal Gears and Splinter Cells sneak around games.
Yes, you CAN call Splinter Cell and Metal Gear stealth games.
MGS4 wasn't stealthy and much more action oriented, unless you're trying to get the Stealth Pack, but the previous ones were great. If you got spotted, you were toast, so, that calls me in to question have you played any of the others, besides 4?
And, how isn't splinter cell a "sneak around" game? You knock out, or kill people and have 3 alarms before you fail the mission. Sometimes you only have one alarm, and if the AI find a body you've hidden poorly, you're toast.
Those two are much better examples of Assassin's Creed. AC, you complete an assassination and then run and hide. How is that even close to sneaking?
You should play the Thief series. Then you might understand the concept of a stealth/sneaking game. Though you might shit your pants in the castle towards the end of III.
I have played MGS 1, 3, and 4. I'm not saying SX and MGS are BAD games, i'm saying I don't like them. Too modern for my tastes. I'm a fan of Midevil or Scifi. And am REALLY getting sick of WW1 and WW2 Or somewhere near them. I'd just rather use a good knife or sword like they used to rather than the guns of today. Anyway, I just don't like those two series'.

And i'll be honest, i've only played one SC game and didn't like it. Or else I wouldn't have even brought up SplinterCell.

Metal Gear Solid Rising.

Even if the new cyborg Raiden is an affront to everything I liked about his character I still hold out hoe for this game.
