I shift my fingers to suit.

I write and play guitar left-handed but I use my right for pretty much everything else, I can't even use left-handed scissors.
Oddly enough, I air guitar left handed, but because I learned on a right-handed guitar I guitar righty.

I was born a lefty but they discouraged me from it in school. Most of my left/right dominance depends on whether it's something I was taught to do or picked up on my own. Though I can do scissors (well, quite a few things) with both hands.

Actually, the weirdest thing may be that I can throw certain objects with my left hand, but not something like a ball overhanded.

Right handed. Index finger for LMB, middle finger for scrolling and RMB. I have a gaming mouse too, so I use my thumb for the buttons on the side.

So many people using their index finger to scroll. o____o

I just tried it, it feels so weird! It never occurred to me that people do it that way.

I use my right hand, with my middle finger using the wheel and the right mouse button.

I use my right thumb. It may sound very strange, but this is what my mouse looks like, so..

Yes. I use this kind of mouse for everything.

I am a bit odd, I guess. Righty, Index on LMG, Middle on RMB, but I use both my index and middle fingers on the scrollwheel.

Generally it depends how my hand is positioned and whether it's more comfortable to shift my fingers to the right or to the left slightly. Though in general it seems more comfortable to scroll down with the middle finger and up with the index finger. :V

However, if there's ever a time where I have to do a lot of scrolling really fast (like going through those Terms of Service no one ever reads, or a game that uses rapid scrolling in place of mashing an "A" key) I will use both at the same time for maximum speed. (I do the same thing with mashing a button, using both fingers as a sort of dual piston)

I'm a righty that uses his index for LMB, his ring finger for the RMB, and The Bird pecks at the scroll wheel.

Depends.
I'm dominantly right handed, and when gaming it's always index-on-LMB, middle-on-wheel and ring-on-RMB, but when I'm just browsing the net I sometimes switch to index-on-wheel because it feels more comfortable when scrolling around a lot and I switch back when I have to click something.

Also, under certain circumstances (e.g.: When I am using my laptop on my bed and don't have enough space on my right side) I occasionally use my left hand for the mouse, in which case it is always middle-on-LMB and index finger switching between RMB and wheel as needed.

I'm left handed, but I've grown up to use my right hand with the mouse.

Index finger for left click, and I use my index finger for both scroll and right click, moving back and forth between them as needed.

Whoa, I was extremely surprised by the poll results.

I can't imagine anyone NOT using their middle finger for the scroll wheel, unless they were new to computers. Apparently I was incorrect.

Maybe PC gaming is what really sealed my usage, since flipping where my index finger is could lead to mistakes. Not to mention, using the index finger in general for the scroll wheel makes the mouse more...unwieldy, for lack of a better term. Keeping four fingers (3 plus thumb) on the mouse at all times makes it easier to control, in my opinion.
I was much the same, fully expecting it to be 99% index finger LMB, middle for wheel, ring for RMB... i can't imagine doing it any other way.

Thumb works the side mouse buttons, and my wheel clicks left and right too, so would be a nightmare trying to do that with my index finger.

The things you learn though lol

Index finger on LMB, middle finger on scroll and ring finger on RMB. Anything else feels strange. As a gamer I find it makes most sense to always have a finger on each button. Also, since I have a Naga Epic, I just use my thumb for 1-0, - and =. That way I don't have to lift my left hand from WASD at any point.

I agree, very surprising. You lose control if you have to reposition your hand on the mouse to use your index finger to use the middle mouse button/scroll wheel. Of course I don't want to adjust because I have always used thumb mouse buttons on the side for push to talk and scoping/ironsights.

The only time I use my ring finger for RMB is if I also need to be doing stuff with the MMB at the same time.
