I already finished The Witcher 2 but only the Roche's path.
I have DAO and Skyrim, I can buy other games.

Out of just those three? Witcher 2 all day.
Try Dragons Dogma and Dark Souls 1/2 if you can.

I'd suggest Witcher 2 but my ardent hatred of Elves means that's out of the equation and DA:O has the godawful Fade section, so I recommend Skyrim: maybe not as detailed or as in-depth as the other two, but you can't go wrong with the lusty Argonian maid Romans vs Vikings.

DA:O - one of the best RPGs in recent gaming history, imo. Has a great story inspired by Song of Ice and Fire with (similar to Witcher) decisions and serious consequences. Some of your group members have really interesting backstories. etc etc

I'm currently playing Witcher 2 on Iorveth's path myself and so far I like it more than the Roche one, but since you recently finished the game I'd suggest DA:O to play something else and then maybe come back to Witcher 2. Reasons were already given by Leberkaese. You might also give the new Divinity: Original Sin a try. Haven't played it yet but it's supposed to be a really superb RPG (but oldschool).

Well it depends.
If you like the more action RPG with a big world, go with Skyrim, it has the action and world to supply it.
If you like a deep, dark RPG that takes solo tactics seriously along with it's characters and plot, The Witcher 2.
If you like a dark, intriguing RPG that has teamwork and team tactics, Dragon Age: Origins all the way.

Personal opinion, Dragon Age: Origins. An original character/Avatar that means something to the player always has a place within my heart. Plus it has a pretty good dual-wielding warrior, unlike Skyrim. Plus the world seems interesting and it has plenty of talking to go hand in hand with the combat.

Fun fact, I voted for that first, but I was too busy to respond.

Skyrim's fun, but I gotta say Witcher 2. You experienced the lesser half of that game. Iorveth's path is, by far, the better of the two and it'd be a shame for you not to experience it.

Well, personally, I wouldn't recommend Dragon Age at all as I find it boring as all hell. But hey, I'm in the minority in that regard, so I can't really speak about it. But yes, play Iorveth's path at some point. The characters and general theme is a lot more interesting.

Ok I will play it (Iorveth's path) because if I play other games I might forgive something :) (I hope it is not very long)
Also I saw that the witcher 2 is loved by many.

I always find that going from a game to a similar game (Witcher to DA for instance) leaves me overly, and usually unfairly, comparing the 2 together...

It would be like having a McDonalds burger directly after a BK burger... I bet not many have tried, but you would undoubtedly decide that one was better... where as if you ate a McDonalds, then had a KFC followed by a BK the 2 burgers would stand alone a lot more...

What I am trying to say is go for Skyrim in the interim. They are all good games, but to give DA the best chance play Skyrim first because of its vastly different style.

I recommend Witcher 2 Iorveth's path..it will change the places you go to completely after you choose that at the end of the first chapter (if I remember correctly?). Also..it's more story based than political like Roche's path was..it feels a bit more "canon" to me than the other one.

After finishing that I recommend a change of pace and go for Dragon Age Origins.

It has virtually the same story as Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire and Baldur's Gate and the characters are of the same archetypes. Also, inspired by SoIaF my ass, it's the same old heroic fantasy, just with blood everywhere and REAL IS BROWN color scheme.
Not a bad game. It's just not nearly as great if you played other BioWare games.

OT: Well... I hate Iorveth, Dragon Age is a generic BioWare RPG... Skyrim it is.

Is it really that good it's worth tolerating that fuckwit Iorveth and his bunch of terrorists?

My first post!

OT:
Let's see, they are very different games, so it's not that easy to say, play this or that, but let's see:

DA:O is together with ME2 the last great Bioware RPG, and while the Fade sequence is really bad, i recommend to do it at least once, after that? If you're on the PC just install the mod that jumps this section, it's easy to find and really usefull. Aside from that, the game is fun, can be difficult at the start when you don't understand the system well, but with tactics you'll go far. It's more story based, with more dialogue and some fun characters, it's a long game if you try to do it all, and it has a good ending, a very good expansion and some nice DLC.

Skyrim is more Action oriented than DA:O, the story is interesting because of the world and the immersion is amazing. Aside from that the game have some problems, and even with that big world, most of the time you will feel alone. Most NPCs are just "one-quest wonders" and even the companions are not interesting or receive any development. But. It is fun. And with the right mods, can be challenging, and the mod community for this game is amazing, so my advice is to jump on the mods straight away. The gameplay is nice, and the exploration is key, the best moments of Skyrim is when you're in the middle of nowhere exploring some forgotten dungeon and getting immersed in the background.

I'd say Skyrim. You, or at least I could, lose myself in that game for hours. Exploring, questing, and just fucking around. You're either playing on PC or Xbox, but if you're playing on PC. Mod the shit out of Skyrim.

Skyrim ==> quantity
The Witcher 2 ==> quality
Dragon Age Origins ==> nostalgia

Take your pick...
