Poll: What game should Valve do next?

we all probably know that portal 2 and hl2 ep3 will come out soon and they will probably come out together much like in the orange box. but what do you think valve should do after that?

maybe i didn't express myself clearly, what i was asking was what you think valve should do AFTER portal 2 and episode 3 comes out since they will probably come out at the same time.

In terms of what makes the most sense, Episode 3.
In terms of the games that I liked the most, Left 4 Dead 3.

Well, to be honest, it's still a valid answer.

After all, has Episode 3 even had a confirmed release date?
I know that Portal 2 has been confirmed for a fourth quarter, 2010 release, but HL2 EP 3 isn't even expected to come out this year, so Portal 2 will probably beat it to store shelves, assuming Valve can actually keep to this date (cue laughter.)

As such, after Portal 2, let's see Ep. 3.

I am. At least I was, I used to spam that game like there wasn't anything else in the world. I'd love to see a new version of that game.

That is, of course, after EP3.

After that, I hope they do something cool and new. Maybe we'll even get lucky and they decide to stop re-using the Source engine for every single thing they do.

I think after Portal 2 they should carry on ignoring Episode 3 and jump straight to Left 4 Dead 3.
Just for a double-whammy of internet rage.

Since Valve has done everything from a post apoc world, a zombie apocolypse, a psychotic testing facility, and two evil corporations vying for the same terrain, I think it's time for a different time zone.

Half-life: 2050?
Left 4 Dead: October 2009
Portal: same time as HL2.
Team Fortress 2: 1950s-1960s.

Maybe something in the past? 1800s, maybe?

Still waiting on more Half Life. I'm also hoping to see a new Counter Strike sometime in the future.
