Those really aren't good poll choices.
Bioshock was an incredibly good game, but it was good in different ways than other games. Comapring it to, say, Call of Duty 4 is like comparing Citizen Kane to I Am Legend .

I hated Bioshock so about 90% of the games I've played is better than Bioshock.

And could you add a "Bioshock is crap" option?

I couldn't get enough BIOSHOCK, but I have put a lot more time into GTA 4. I got a lot more enjoyment out of the Latter, too.

I dunno, Bioshock never really hit it off with me, just couldn't get into it. I appreciate the idea and liked the style, but it just wasn't all that great IMHO, far too over hyped for my liking.

Well, you see, my friend insists that Bioshock and System Shock 2 are the two best games ever, But i disagree. I've never played System Shock 2, and I admit that Bioshock was a flat-out incredible game, But i liked Mass effect, Half-life 2 (and episodes), and Call of duty 4 better.

What are your thoughts escapists? Where is Bioshock in your top ten list? Is it even in your top ten list?
I liked bioshock, it was a good game even so though it probably doesn't honestly make my top 10, top 20 probably but not top 10. Keep in mind I've been playing games a very long time though. If you were to say last 5, or maybe even last 10 years then yeah it would probably make the cut. That being said, I didn't like system shock at all. (yeah I know blasphemous right?)

I'm still placing portal as probably one of the best games I have played ever though. The game was just interesting enough and short enough to not lose it's charm, and the dark humor provided by the computer was just... epic.

Even though I don't play it anymore another source engine game would be in my top 10 easily and that's counter strike. Mostly because it took me longer to tire of it than any other game I have ever played.

Oni would be up there as well. It's an older game though I don't think many people have heard of it these days. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oni_(video_game)
trying to get people to remember that one lately in hopes that eventually a new game based on it, or at least with the same level of shooting/hand to hand combat will some day appear.

People call Dead Space "BioShock in space".

That's not an insult. Dead Space kicks BioShock in the face then proceeds to murder it's family because of it. It's in space, people. Everything is better in space.

Bioshock will be on my top 10 list for a fairly long time. As an experience, it is quite incredible.

There are games that are better, though. Everyone's opinion is different, and for me Bioshock isn't the best game ever made. I thought that was Abe's Exoddus.

Bioshock is definitely up there, but I think Half-Life 2, Fallout 3, Mass Effect, and Portal all have it beat. Still a great game though.

System Shock 2 is better than Bioshock. It's harder, smarter and has proper inventory management.

Theif: The Metal Age is my favourite FPS. System Shock 2 comes a distant second. Then Half Life 2, then Bioshock.

I disagree the only pc port 3rd person I've ever really liked was dark sector. I found dead space to be very cliche to be honest.

Bioshock was alright. Id say "above Average". 8/10. I could name off an array of games that i feel are better, but i'll choose a few. Every Zelda game besides Majoras Mask (im a bit of a zelda fanboy, dont hate me please.), Fallout 3, CoD4, CoD:WaW (Its NOT CoD5! Its CoD:WaW).

Just to name a few.

Havent played the Bioshock but i know people that have and they say its Completely Awesome. It's not a game i'll rush to the store and knock people over for but i'm at least intrigued to try it. However since this thread is about a favorite i'd have to say Castle Crashers, Prototype, Saints Row, PoP the Sands of time are a good few examples for me to say

I would say that Bioshock was a phenomenal game, great visual quality and a relatively new and somewhat interesting concept for game play. I would however argue that it is not the best game ever, one of my all time favorites but not the favorite.

Bioshock had a great story, but it's far from perfect. My favorite is FFVII. My favorite shooters, on the other hand, are Resident Evil 4, Battlefield: Bad Company, and Metroid Prime.

1. Half-Life 2
2. Half-Life
3. BioShock
4. World in Conflict
5. Fallout

I guess that's quite straight forward. Time for lunch.
