Funny LP's and gaming vids in general.

Tobuscus (or more specifically Tobygames) still has one of the best gaming channels on the internet

His LP of Amnesia is amazing and his LP of Fallout NV was somehow really entertaining (i usually can't stand Open World games being LP'd) but when he headshots Sunny Smiles' dog by accident, cheerily walks around the desert at lvl 1 being followed by a Giant Radscorpion and completely destroys the character of Boone. You know the rest of the game is gonna be just as awesome.

Well, its not really the game then, just his commentary then?

No offense but there are a million of you, so unless you are awesome at games or are considered the funniest guy a lot of people know, I wouldn't bother.

You might as well count cod out 'cos with respawn having a million directors, 99% of who are posting COD vids the field is saturated. Minecraft is the same way, every fucker is posting vids of that lego sim (IT IS NOT A GAME!) ... especially the retarded duo, the yogscast.

I think the best bets are trying to get onto machinima sport or realm, I doubt they bring in the number of views that respawn does but the vids aren't as saturated.

It's a bit of both, he's pretty bad at... Basically everything, the commentary is just him going on about whatever's going on in the game. The fact that he sucks makes the commentary funnier.

Like when he failed at stealing from a safe in Fallout, pissed off an entire Caravan-worth of people and Boone systematically destroyed all of them while he just sat there in the corner.

Basically his playstyle is unusual and that helps his commentary... If that makes sense

The only major gaming-related shows I watch at all are The Runaway Guys (occasionally) and Arby n' the Chief (regularly.) I guess that counts as "other", since neither Halo nor anything by Nintendo is up there.

I was subbed to the yogscast but all there vids became the same minecraft crap, magically knowing where to go, "bumbling" along the whole time, Simons shitty voice acting (where all the people sound the same, except the black carnie who sounded like the guy from Deus Ex), Simon and Hannah playing condemned at a truly agonizing pace ... every video was 90% reused crap and 10% was the new map they where on.

To be honest I don't think "pretty good at video games" and "funny moments" are going to cut it, I don't mean to piss on your parade but there are a million people who want to be the next woodysgamertag with 620K people watching there vid, having thousands of people messaging you and calling you awesome and they love your vids ... it is a very saturated market.

I wouldn't watch another person play a game (without a funny commentary) if it was the only thing I was able to do that day. It is just the saddest thing to watch people you don't even know play some game.

Anyway, I like some of the humorous videos that pertain to games, like Tobuscus. He has a Let's Play Dead Island that was pretty funny because of his commentary. But even then I can only watch about 2 minutes before I get really bored.

Well, it really depends on what you define as funny. There's things like randomly swearing a lot or something in game that you comment on which is comedic, for example Cr1t1kals commentaries are hilarious because he does just this.

I don't watch any gaming videos at all on youtube. If I do watch some, it is usually for some ancient game, nothing recent. I don't even subscribe to anyone on youtube.
