Charr Guardian main, and an Asura Mesmer as an alt.

I love support classes, and with the ease switching specs, playing one in GW2 isn't a chore since you can seamlessly switch between solo and group specs just by switching weapons and skills from your character tab. So my Guardian is going to be all about buffs and group support, and my Mesmer is going to be all about debuffs and group support. And of course for PvP the Mesmer's ability to mess with people is going to be a ton of fun. It's a really complex and hard class but I can't wait to learn it.

When I get it I'm heavily leaning towards a thief. But we'll see. I may feel like playing something else once the time comes.

Due to the imminent release of Guild Wars 2 Beta to those who buy collector's edition on April 12,
As I understand it, all those who preorder on April 10th get into the beta, no matter what edition of the game you pick.

I'll be going Thief. During my time in GvG between Factions* and Nightfall, I played first melee for TBP as an assassin- part of a new duo assassin arrangement that was popular in meta at the time. We spent a long time in the top 100 EU, and I plan to be as serious about PvP this time around as well.

Being a thief is going to be like coming home. Can't wait.

Been poking into this thread every so often the past couple of days and... gotta say, I'm surprised the necro is the minority, especially by this much. o_o

I mean, obviously something had to be, but even then, I expected whatever the more popular choice was to have more of a lead, but... 2 in a dead heat, another one vote behind those, and a fourth just a few behind that.

This poll isn't at all what I was expecting. :p

Curious, though, was there already a race poll posted? Or have people been avoiding that due to furry-phobia or something..? >.>

While I intend to make different characters instead on focusing one, I will make a human thief first. It's because my favourite profession in Guild Wars is the Assassin which the thief is base on them. That way I will be playing as the Assassin reborn!

In Guild Wars I played a Necromancer/Ranger and I liked it a lot

I'm probably going to be playing a Necromancer again in Guild Wars 2, and it looks even better than the one in Guild Wars

Don't know the race yet, but either Engineer or Ranger. One thing I'm worried about is the camera. I prefer to play with the camera right behind my character. it helps it feel more epic.

Elementalist. Human + Female so that I can look like a prostitute while I melt faces.

I'm surprised the interest in the classes is so well spread. I mean there doesn't look to be many going for Necromancer here, but on other forums that's a more popular one. Plenty of Engineers here whereas that's usually had less interest than the others.

Everybody going to pre-purchase on the 10th?

Mesmer without a doubt. It's basically my dream class, and the class I try to make myself when I play a singleplayer RPG ala Skyrim; a rogue with illusion magic. Absolutely perfect.

Hell yeah Ranger, I played it all through Guild Wars 1 + All expansions.

Hopefully I can dual wield swords now or something.
