Alright everyone wants to fix some stuff in COD4.

Rules: You can pick- 1 weapon to add (Must be real)
1 perk to add (Name, slot and effect included)
1 perk to remove (Lemme guess, Juggernaut)
1 weapon to improve (Lemme guess again, G3 or Mini uzi)
2 new Factions to add

Please PUT ONLY ONE OF EACH.

I want to see the MP7 smg, A perk 2 called Double Mag that makes your clip 2X as big, The removal of Martyrdom (everything else can be out maneuvered, but nothing ends a kill streak like a well placed martyrdom.), more stopping power on the M249 SAW, and the Chinese and Israeli factions face off.

The XM8 rifle
Slot1 perk would be a better zoom on sniper rifles i suppose
Remove juggernaut yeah (it annoys me lol) that or martyrdom
Instead of improving i call for a nerf on the noob gun! (M16A4)
To be honest im happy with the factions but if we must have 2 more i vote the Chinese + Japanese (or 2 asians in general)

Also at ur choice of more stopping power on the SAW, i hate you.
To the poll I have no attatchments on my AK47, except red tiger camo.

Dude whats the XM8? Oh wait is it that gun from R6V2? The one u unlock at Marksman 16? I love that gun! The L85A2 or AUG A3 would also be good.

Seconding the MP7.
A slot 3 perk called Intuition that brings up an onscreen indicator whenever an enemy within a certain (reasonable) distance has their sights on you. Doesn't tell you from where, though.
Remove Martyrdom just because I hate hate hate grenades.
No problems with the existing weapons.
China and Germany, I guess.

Weapon to add: The AUG

Perk to Add
Name: Eaglevision (maybe not the coolest name)
Slot: Green?
Effect: Increase zoom on weapons

Perk to Remove: Noob Tube, once you've leveled up to at least 20, you've played long enough to actually SHOOT the weapon you chose

Weapon to Improve: more accurate P90, maybe it's just me, but it's like i never get a hit with the damn thing

It really doesnt matter to me with the factions, but i guess North korea and cuba might be fine

I think Double Mag is more or less like Bandaloir, only it increases the size of the magazine not the ammo you have.

A new perk would be Kangaroo in the slot 3 perks. Obviously makes you jump higher. I know, it's probably useless but the first thing that came to mind.

Remove Extreme conditioning, eavesdropper, or dead silence. I almost never see people use those. Hell, i havn't seen someone use eavesdropper for about 5 months.

Weapon to add: L86 LSW

Perk to Add
Name: Quick Throw (self explanitory)
Slot: Secondary
Effect: Increases the speed of your throw-back animation, making it easier to return grenades; this could also make martyr more survivable

Perk to Remove: Martyr; or after the addition of my perk, the ability to carry 3 frag grenades. The latter makes it far too easy to simply lob three 'nades and clear out a fortified position.

Edit: I have to agree with Jumplion, Eavesdrop and Dead Silence are pretty pointless.
Hardly anyone uses a headset for any tactical purpose, so Eavesdrop can't really be construed as an advantage.
In my, limited, experience Dead silence gives no real advantage whatsoever; how many people really think quieter, not silent, footsteps would improve their game?

No real complains with under-powered weapons, but over-powering is a different story.

The emplaced SAWs are massively overpowered: infinite ammo, incredible stopping power and wall penetration.
Obviously this can be countered by killing the user, but they can get kills pretty easily by simply spraying wildly across a horizontal plane. This means that the you can only kill them easily if you shoot first, penetration and rate-of-fire making up for their lack of accuracy.
Sneaking up behind them isn't always an option, although it is the best solution.

My second is more a game-balancing complaint, but applies to a specific weapon.
The RPG can be used as an effective weapon by simply rushing an enemy taking cover, then shooting it at your feet; I have a friend who employs this as one of his primary free-for-all tactics.
As there is no penalty for suicide your opponent gets a, relatively, easy kill; I have actually lost 1-on-1 games as a result of this.
Add a -10 penalty for suicide, or simply discount the kill, and I'd be happy.

Not hugely concerned about factions, but I think it would make sense to have a Chinese faction, if only to accompany Chinatown. Admittedly the location is almost certainly not in China, but it seems bizarre that it is contested by the SAS and Spetsnaz.

the XM-8 is no longer in the running to be a military weapon being cancelled in october of 2005. this weapon has been shelfed... perminently.

it is at the moment one of those 'future-esque weapons' which almost every game picks up because of its snazzy sleak design and smoothed surfaces which make it look futuristic when infact the weapon is rather outdated by most standard weapons.

the XM-8 willnever be picked up by any military force because the weapons it was designed to replace (the G36, and M-16/M4) are being replaced by upgraded models of the M-16/M4. the IAR, M416, and REC7 coming out the XM-8 will be nothing more than intresting idea.



things to be added to CoD4?
weapon: AT4 a single shot non-reloadable straight line multi purpouse rocket launcher as seen many a time through out the game used by other troops. it would do the same damage as the RPG-7, it is however much more accurate, thus the reason you only get one when you use the perk that arms you with this weapon.
Perk: AT4. like AT, but gives you a Single AT4.

mods to add:
Holosites (as seen in game) basically a secondary option to the RDS
LAAM (laser Assist Aim Module) would passively increase your accuracy, if you turn on night vision it also makes a visable line (as seen in game)

Weapon - Germen Luger. If for no other reason then to go along with the mp44.

Perk - Ghillie Suit, slot 3. Why should snipers be the only ones allowed to hide in the grass?

Perk to remove - Eavesdrop. I have at times won matches because I heard an enemy walking around near me, but hearing what people on the other team are saying is, for the most part, useless outside of big-league gaming.

Weapon to improve - SAW. The iron sights on that thing take up half the friggin screen. Making them smaller would help a lot.

Faction - Canada. Just for the hell of it. In fact, I'm changing my perk to add to "beaver toss", in which you pull out a beaver and chuck it at people. It would be like Monty Python And The Holy Grail, only with a beaver instead of a bunny.

Don't get me started on how an RPD with stopping power takes 50 hits to kill while a MP5 or AK-47U takes only 4 hits with stopping power. Hell, the AK-U is over powered without the perk.

2)A perk which gives you incediary ammunition sounds cool to me, its effect could be extra damage over a period of time, it can go in whichever slot makes most sense to the majority i guess.
3)Better iron sights on the M60, i like iron sights but it angers me when some one messes them up.
4)Ukraine and Argentina, just cause they have militarys too, and i have never seen either in a game.

I'd like to see a lot of new guns added to the game, and to treat them more realistically without gimping the **** out of them jut for balance. You can still make a .50 cal Sniper balanced without making it underpowered, you can still make ACOG scopes balanced without taking off 15% of the guns accuracy.

Basically, when this game was being made, they were 'up to date' - but now, I need to start seeing the stuff that I've seen on "Future Weapons" in my games, and REALISTICALLY implemented.

and I always thought perks was a stupid idea so I have nothing to add.

No Tracer (red perk)- Your bullets do not leave tracers when you shoot, but do a little less damage.

1 perk to remove (Lemme guess, Juggernaut)

Easedropper - Just doesn't seem to see a lot of use in most games.

1 weapon to improve (Lemme guess again, G3 or Mini uzi)

Yeah, I think the G3 could use some improvement.

2 new Factions to add

Shouldn't this...you know...be on the CoD4 forums. Are have they become too tired with these same damn questions you decided to move onto other websites for a response?

I mean really, there not going to make more attatchments, they are not putting in more attatchments and they sure as hell are not making new perks.

Remove martyrdom, it's annoying and bizarre.

I can't believe people are saying that Dead Silence and Extreme Conditioning are useless. Silencer plus Dead Silence plus UAV jammer plus whatever = ninja. In certain game modes (headquarters, domination), or even just certain maps, extreme condiitioning can be invaluable.

Ideally I would like to see a halfway mode between normal (keep going after being hit with 2 clips from an AK) and hardcore (die from a pistol shot to the small toe).

I know bugger all about guns in reality... maybe an auto-shotty with a drum magazine?
