One thing that scares me is death. Do we lay in a void for several Quadrillion years, Do we go to heaven, hell? What do you think awaits us in death?

I believe that we go to heaven or hell, but I honestly think it would cool to be reincarnated, but it's kind of 50/50 because you could come back as something awesome or a fly.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we just stopped, and disappeared into...nothingness. Reincarnation sounds pretty awesome though.

but seriously folks, I have trouble reconciling my need to be an atheist and my human genetic requirement to believe in life after death. For one I am devoted to the idea that hoping for a reward after death makes us worse as human beings, more concerned with the hereafter than now, but at the same time I don't want to believe that it all just stops, just like I have trouble believing that everything that makes life what it is is simply a chemical process.
