I carry on with the bloody game! Jesus, how socially inept do you have to be to adjust yourself because you hear a girl? It's not like a supermodel just walked into your room naked whilst you're in a lobby, then maybe you'd react to it.
Man, even insinuating that behaviour suddenly takes a turn upon the introduction of the opposite of sex is completely counter-intuitive to the whole image of gamers being socially backwards. I know there are some creeps who suddenly turn on the "charm" when a girl's present (and I mean 'charm' in the loosest way possible), but those are just creeps in general, not just gamers.
Oh, and the only thing worse than men reacting to a woman entering an online game? The woman who has to constantly reiterate her gender, and how despite this self-professed "disability" she's still doing well. Nice work love, hundreds of years of Suffrage all for you to proclaim your gender as a handicap.

On PS3, if a girl comes into my lobby, I'll do a few things.
If shes on my team, I'll get her a win. If shes on the other team, I'll get her a loss.
I generally don't talk to people that aren't in my squad/party anyway. Girls are no exception. They'll likely get muted along with everyone else.
I say likely because everyone gets a trial run. If you're spouting nonsense or talking trash, you get muted. If you help your team, you don't get muted.
The two girls in my usual group of friends usually remain silent untill in game, or they mute everyone else.

I gonna stand by ol' man M1LL3R and gotta laugh about everyone saying something like 'doing as always' (and additionaly 'and pwn the hell outa everybody 8D'), while that was totally NOT asked xD
I myself do not own a xbox and i'm darn proud of it ^^ avoiding XBL = avoiding mentally disfigured 12-year olds. hanging out IRL tends to have less... negative effects on average brain functionallity, and especially girls get the consequences of that.
It would be totally lol if in the next years girls would game more and more, becoming the majority. wonder how the reactions would be if a (as then rare being) guy joined a game.
