No. It would just feel like they threw her in at the last minute for the sake of having Chell in the game. It would be forced and unwelcome.

It would be nice but not possible, she looks like she arrived out in the middle of nowhere, mabey as a easter egg or in the ending but no it would be pretty forced.

I trust Valve to make a story decision on their own. They have yet to add something in their games that I disliked. However, my question would be mostly why we should need Chell as a character in the main Half-life franchise. Do we even know where Borealis emerged? It feels sort of contrived that Chell and Borealis be in the same place once Gordon gets there. That said, I heard Valve have been studying sign language for a deaf character in Episode Three. Might be that said character is not deaf, but mute. It is heavily implied that Chell is mute, after all. Even though Eric Wolpaw has stated that she probably can speak.

Maybe a kind of easter egg? Like you could walk into a security office and flick through the recordings and eventually you would see a old recording of her testing or in stasis. I couldn't see them adding her though.

I would very much enjoy seeing her in Ep3... and it's not too much of a stretch. She's got qualities the G-man would certainly want to put to use (insane tenacity, great thinking skills, physical endurance has to be amazing- after all, for Portal/Portal 2 to succeed, she'd have to do everything on the first or second go), so she could be a huge boon for wiping out the Combine.

As for the silent protagonist thing, it's been confirmed that she is silent by choice. The robots in Aperture piss her off, so she doesn't talk to them, I'm sure she'd have something to say if/when she found humans.

tbh that would be really lame. Chell belongs to the funny, quirky portal world. She wouldn't fit in Half Life's serious side. I wouldn't mind it as an Easter egg though - like, her aperture science jumpsuit lying somewhere. But anything more than that would just be there to gratify the fans.

Except for the fact that she escaped the aperture facility and now has literally nowhere to go. If the events of Half-Life and Portal occur simultaneously(because it is canon that they occur in the same universe), Chell has nothing to do but join up with a faction. It might as well be the resistance.

I would probably jizz my pants, pause the game, go clean myself up and THEN ask why on earth they thought we would be impressed that they mixed up their IPs

Maybe she could turn up in our world instead and teach people how to use spoiler tags.

As in, you know [ spoiler ] tags. [ / spoiler ]

It doesn't bother me, already finished Portal 2, but, you know....

I always pictured the G-Man abducting Chell and throwing her in with Gordon and Alyx. Not sure if she'd have a portal gun, but at least she knows how Aperture works (and the hazards inherent with Emancipation Grids), so she could help them through the Borealis.

I don't think it's possible. Chell is in Aperture during HL2, and is asleep until many years after Gordon is dead.
