Before I start, I want to mention this isn't a discussion about if Version Exclusives is good or bad in Pokemon. Long story short, it's good because it has a social aspect to it as it encourages trading between people who don't have the same version.
But what if Borderlands or Destiny had two different versions of one game and had exclusive guns in each one?
Not on the level of Megaman having exclusive robot masters or Mario having exclusive powerups, but something players can trade with one another. (Unless there's a way to connect with another player and give them access to the level or something.)
Is this something you wouldn't mind seeing in more games? Do you like the idea? Or hate it and leave the Version Exclusive thing only to Pokemon?
