I live in the pacific northwest, it rains almost all the time, so rain according to my own actions really wouldn't make that much of a difference.
I keep my feet on the ground during the summer and do all my flying during every other season.

$350,000 a year?
No. I'm sure I could pull a few million out of either independent corporations or other countries. I'd be looking at 5 mil per year minimum to control my ability, otherwise I'd just use it to help those who need it. And whenever I felt like it. And what's the range of this area that I have to leave before it starts raining, and that it rains over?
I'd quite like to be able to cause rain on a really hot day, then just head back to get cool. Would be nice.

I love how some people think you can just conjure up rain without any consequences.

There is no way I would fly without having worlds top scientists confirm that it does no damage.

I'd probably give the government salary the finger, and hire myself out to drought-stricken areas or food producers. My main question is whether these consequences fuck up the environment/weather at large. If it's magical karma rain that doesn't take away from anywhere else, yeah, why the hell not. Although on my own property I'd fly all the time, I love the rain.

Whenever I want. The very idea that any government would feel entitled to contact me and discuss the `terms` according to which I could use my own talents is offensive.

So first, I'd fly for a hundred hours a week for six weeks over the houses of parliament. Then I'd go about my stuff elsewhere.

And that's the thing I was considering: long term ramifications. It rains where ever you fly, so that means that the rain is indeed just conjured up by your power. No matter what, there's only X amount of water on the planet in some form or another. Every time you fly, you'd be creating rain which would in turn be increasing X. Rain is also fresh water, not salt water, so there's that to take into consideration too. I'd imagine everything would be hunky-dorey for a while, but after a few years all that water would likely start adding up, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Just like how a human can die from drinking too much water in a given time period, I'd imagine you could really fuck up the world by adding too much water to the balance of nature.

As such, I'd likely spend a few months selling my services to the highest bidder to build up a little nest-egg then go back to a mostly normal life.

Id fly over africa and other places where droughts are happening. And if reservoirs are getting a bit low id top them up

Saving the world would be my game
Glad I'm not the only one with that idea.

Where ever rain is needed, I'll be there! I'll be Rain Girl! ...Okay that's kinda lame.

Though the money from the government would be good too. I'd probably listen to them when I'm not helping the countries with drought.

Ohh boy, this sounds interesting. I wouldn't actually like the idea of being a pet of some government just because I am special, but the salary is tempting enough so I guess why not. I would still probably fly by myself whenever I wanted to just for the special occasions where I would need to be alone and not being bothered by people because of this special power that I have.

You seem to be missing quite a few numbers there.....
I would fly to the shop and back, maybe fly on long trips depending on how fast i fly.

+huge market in controlling the weather for the betterment of man. Rain on command`is priceless abliity, I could turn the sahara desert into a swamp and if the rain came from somwhere else on earth I would try to arrange a schedule to create a good temperate climate on all of earth.
+ I could get paid a lot to ensure snow on christmas.

Good question is: would half a milimeter/minute of water be worse or better than other means of transportation.

Then again there is probably some water that leaves the atmosphere every year. Oh! It would be possible to terrafrom the entire solar system! 'Cause we could create oceans, if the ability creates water from nothing and doesn't redirect existing water.

I would go to Africa and become an angelic Storm.

But a salary? Wings? Helping people out? That is so for me.

I'm guessing "Super-man" includes helping scientific efforts, government, and whoever else. In that situation, THE POWER IS MINE! I AM CAPTAIN Most-Important-Molecule-In-The-PLANET!

But not to rain on anyone's parade, so to speak and literally.

For 350k per year. To just fly around whenever I get a call? Hell yeah, I'll stick to the ground unless told otherwise. I assume I'm also getting a standard benefits package and vacation time as long as I comply with Washington's terms. I mean, flying may be fun, but a. I'm trying to lose weight right now, so unless flight burns a ton of calories, sticking to the ground's in my own interest anyway and b. were else am I getting a solid, enjoyable government gig?
