I guessing Scientists although the word I'm looking for is adventurer or explorer. My reason for this is that what mankind seen to do, exploring the unkown wheather it be a new country, native, something hidden or now outer space.

Hooah, hallelujah, hell yes. I love when someone creates a truly alien, complex, and detailed civilization and pulls it off well. If I were to confine humans to a hat, I would say "scientist" because they're the only ones that are going to be in space for the foreseeable future.
