Well, since this is a gaming website I'm pretty sure that most people will have it set up for gaming.

Shame on you. Browsing the escapist at work. :D

OT: I'm not entirely sure how to find what all the parts of my PC are, if anyone has a way I would be happy to post it.

Yeah its too addictive you know.

Here is the website where you can see your rig, just choose any game, it will still show you your setup.

I have a nice little toshiba laptop. It might not be able to play too many games after 2008 with decent graphics, but it can run just about anything, and it has withstood plenty of use, I have traveled with it across continents, performed live with it, and completed half life on it. I almost seem sad that I am going to replace it at the end of the year.

Nvidia GTX 260
Intel 2.6gzh quad core
500gig HDD
Not sure what the mother board but I remember it was one of the higher quality options

Case: NZXT Tempest
MB: P5q Pro
PSU: OCZ 600W
CPU: Q6600 3Ghz
GPU: HD4850 1Gb
RAM: 2x2Gb 800Mhz Kingston
HDD: Hitachi 500Gb
Monitor: 22" Samsung 2233 BW
Mice: SteelSeries Kinzu (for gaming), Logitech G5 (now used only for browsing)
Keyboard: just a default Logitech keyboard nothing fancy
Headphones: Genius HS-03U (rather cheap but awesome gaming headphones. They have one super option - vibration. It's actually a strong bass and you can turn it on/off. It's really cool when you're playing shooters). I also have SteelSeries Siberia V2 black color, but I prefer my smaller Genius headphones.
Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Control
Gamepad: Xbox 360 gamepad

All of the above - people seem to forget in the whole cost debate that they're used for far more than just gaming.

4.00GB DDR2 RAM
ASUSTeK P5GC-MX/1333

I mainly use my comp for school work and internet, but I do play games on it sometimes, though not nearly as often as I would like. :(

Specs (mostly copied from dxdiag):

Intel Celeron Processor @ 1.6GHZ
Intel(R) 82945G Express @ 256 MB
1014 MB RAM
Vista 32-bit
120 GB hard drive

That is all I know about how powerful the bugger is.

To be honest I cant bring an awful lot to this e-p*nis waving contest. My setup is the last of the AGP PC's, with an Athlon X2 and an HD 3850. Its a gaming PC, and can manage most console port type games or those where the graphics arent too challenging. But for stuff like Metro 2033 it only gets smooth frame rates at low settings. Actually to be fair it can run crysis on the highest settings that arent DX10 if I stick to 1024 x 768, as I am still running XP / DX9.0c.

I also go on the net with it, but even some websites seem to make it chug from time to time. Soon, when I have conquered all of humanity, I shall be rich enough to own a far bigger e-p*nis.

I feel like I've done this before but:

Gigabyte MoBo
AMD Phenom X4 2.33 GHz Black Edition
760 Western Digital Caviar GB Main HDD
2TB Seagate Barracuda Storage HDD
4GB SuperTalent Overclocking RAM
MSI Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512 MB GDDR3

21" WS Samsung Display with Matte Finish
Saitek Eclipse Keyboard (Blue)
Logitech G7 Wireless Gaming Mouse
Logitech x540 Surround Sound Speakers
More plugs than I know what to do with

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

This is my powerhouse desktop for Gaming, 3D Artwork/Animation, Rendering etc. It's getting a bit old now (pushing 2 years) but it still kicks some serious hiney. Impending upgrades include new video card, new MoBo, and new CPU within the next year or so.

I've got a laptop

Intel PM965
2x2GB DDR2
Intel C2D 2.8GHz 6MB
nVidia Quadro FX3600
1920x1200 17" LCD

It's over 3 years old and nowhere near as fast, but I don't see it going any soon. Just because it's damn portable.
