Poll: What is it about DisGaea 3 i find great (dose anybody else see this in it)

OK.. I have to admit that for a long time I was hunting for the best looking game or the best game for playing with my buddy's. but I started playing Disgaea 3, a friend said to try it for about a hour, now 130 hours later am still playing it and even got the 40 Pounds play station network add-on for it

so now to the point I wanted to make,

first the story of the game dose not take itself seriously. It has some great funny moments that had me rolling on the floor in Giggling with Glee.

the battle system at first I was thinking was very basic but the more I got in to it the more they was. mixing attack with other Chr, Tower attacks, and the entire tec tree of so many (over 100) Chr's

i do hope that NIS come out with more games (just found out about Cross edge getting it)

i was just wondering if anybody else gave it a try? and found a great hidden Gem of a game,

It's a great game, but I still preferred Number 1 and 2. Don't get me wrong 3's great, but Raspberyl's just a retarded attempt to try and recreate etna.
I wish I had more time to play Disgaea 3 though... Only like 4 hours in

from sounds of it.. once i have 100% tropthy it, I gotta get me one and two of Disgaea, sounds like i have my next few weeks of gaming sorted out for me

I'm just waiting for it to come out on the PSP like the first two have. I enjoyed the first two and hope the third will be good, though the advertisements for it like, do damage you never imagined doing or make obscene tower attacks kinda turns me off. I was never one to just grind out tons and tons of levels in the game to do that stuff. Never seemed that fun to just play the item levels over and over. I'd usually just feed a caster (usually the healer) levels and let their magic rip everything to shreds in the game and go on from there.

I started playing this game again about a week ago so you can imagine my delight at seeing this topic!
I logged over 300 hours the last time I played and still did not do everything that can be done. But then I saw that *Ta-Da!!!* Trophy Support!!!!!! So I had NO CHOICE but to play it again! I know I'm way behind the power curve on this revelation but what can ya do?
So here I am, playing again and loving every second of it, again.

Oh yes, BTW, I DO enjoy Disgaea 1 more than 3. Laharl is my evil hero.

You will not regret it, trust me, I regret it everyday that I wake up and realize I sold my copy of Disgaea 1. The pain, it hurts.

I have never sold a . I don't know that pain (looks up at over 500 games and thinks it might be a good idea soon. need more room) but thanks matey, I am gonna be taking my PSP to work with me now and be level grinding in my Brakes at work.. kinda looking forward to it. better then talking to real people lol.

That's an insult to Etna. They're nothing alike. In what way are they alike in your opinion, because I see ZERO resemblance.

Calm down... I meant the sort of childlike evil "cute" demon idea. They tried to recreate the whole Etna idea, but failed.

Disgaea 3 is the reason I own a PS3. LOVE THAT GAME!

Not to mention I am a 35 year old guy working in a professional environment and I carry a Nintendo DS with Disgaea in it and have for about 2 years now. Over 400 hours on it.

I played the first two Disgaeas, which I consider are easily my favorite JRPGs. The game is hilarious, the battle system (while complex) is fun.

I've been really thinking about getting this game. Let me ask, as a man who bought Makai kingdom and hated it, but has probably played FF Tactics more times than he could count, think I'd enjoy this game?

i was just thinking of seeing how sad i am

my Mao is now level 525, (my strongest) um but I only have 10% the trophy on it, lol.. so class world, land of carnage, and that other place I have still to test out.. :S looks like lots of gaming still to go for me lol
