Other: Square-Enix

Can anyone name any game they released in the past decade plus that was any good? Not even EA or Activision is this bad.
Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. :/

...What? I answered your question.

Obsidian.

Every one of their games has been an unplayable mess crutching on storyline. Storyline doesn't make a game, gameplay does. And their games have been one bug filled piece of shit after another.
They also ruined the Dungeon Siege franchise, turning it into some shitty arcade-rpg thing.
You're joking right? In terms of RPGs Obsidian is easily the best company (excludng dead ones) for gameplay. I mean yeah they're buggy but that's almost always down to deadlines out of their control. Besides buggy gameplay gets fixed eventually, bad gameplay I.E Bethesda and Bioware will always be bad.

Probably Bioware. It's incredible how you can fall from one of the most beloved companies to one of the most hated ones in just 3 years.

How long has it been since Nintendo has done anything other than ruin the entire industry with their absurd gimmicks? When was the last time Nintendo made a game that was worth playing? I can't think of anything beyond a few GameCube exclusives, so it's been a good while, and all they've done since then is hold the medium back.

So... yeah. Nintendo. Maybe when Miyamoto retires or dies, Nintendo can stop being worthless, but for now, he and it have no place in this industry.

They're game makers, not writers. And they made consistently bad, buggy, sloppy , unfinished games.
Again buggy gameplay get's fixed bad gameplay doesn't, and so I'd rather have a company which makes unstable buggy games but with solid gameplay as opposed to a company that makes stable but boring and empty games I.e Bioware

I'd say Zynga
They have barely any original ideas, their games are filled to the brim with ads one way or another (heck they have ads for themselves in their own games) and on top of that they're complete assholes to their own employees, see the various articles on the escapist in regards to Zynga not allowing ex-employees to find a job at their competitor.
Bingo. Out of the major game companies, there really is no other option. From the games themselves, which are frequently blatant rip offs of other peoples work, to the awful way they treat their staff to the predatory way they build their experiences around microtransactions. There's just no redeeming quality to them as a game company.

Most of their games have been sequels of games made by other companies.
Kotor 2 to the original Knights of the old Republic..... made by bioware.
Neverwinter Nights 2 is a sequel to the original.... again made by bioware.
New Vegas is a sequel to Fallout 3.... made by Bethesda.
And all of those games you mentioned are vastly superior to the orignals in gameplay terms.

Also, your "I'd rather play a buggy game that gets patched later" bullshit is why developers LIKE EA can keep releasing crappy games and promise to patch them later.
What the hell are you on about? Stability is the least of EA's concerns when it comes to how shit their games are.

And besides I don't see whats wrong with the attitude thats it's better to have a buggy game that has good gameplay than a game that's stable but bland. If you can only have one (and that unfortunately seems to be the case with most devs) then having an initially buggy game is MUCH better in the long run.

Compare New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 for example, Mass Effect was relativity stable but was bland and dull, New Vegas was Plagued by bugs but had fantastic gameplay. Two years down the line and New Vegas is now both stable AND fun which leaves Mass effect 2 looking like shit. Like I said a buggy game can be fixed, a bad game can't.

Activision. Their games are all exactly the same, all they make now is Call of Duty games and crappy movie tie-ins. Also, Bobby Kotick is the devil.
