Team Fortress 2, because it lasts the longest, has a lot of charm, is a funny game, balanced, really fun etc, etc.

While Half-Life (particularly 2, didn't dig the first one) and Portal are excellent games, I just find myself liking Team Fortress 2 abit more, especially since with HL2 and Portal I have memories, TF2 I'm playing still.

Portal. I can't play team fortress 2 for some reason and in half life 2 I keep getting stuck in the game but portal was amazing. It had beautiful graphics, a dark and yet great sense of
humor and I had great fun playing it. :)
I'm yet to play any of valves other games.

Half-Life 2
then Portal
then 1.6
then TF2

I love all of them, though; except Ricochet.

I'm going to have to go with Portal. Even though it was a shorter experience than Half-Life 2 (or perhaps even partly because of this) it had a lot more of that gaming "magic" packed into it than the average game.

Portal for its minimalistic ingenuity.
Team Fortress 2 for its balance and lasting appeal.
Half-Life and its runty little siblings for cementing the fact that nerds are way cooler than any gritty battle-hardened space marine you can think of.
Left 4 Dead for all the time spent in the company of complete strangers, screaming like pre-pubescents stranded in a novel by Roald Dahl.
Day of Defeat for giving us yet another excuse to listen to jingoist marches while giving ol' Jerry what he deserves!
Counter-Strike for introducing the world to 1337-5p34k.
...Wait, scratch that.
Thanks for nothing, Counter-Strike.

My favourite Valve game would be Team Fortress 2.

The only Valve game I don't like (so far) would be Counter-Strike: Source.

Team Fortress 2 (I was only able to play it on the 360 because my computer is a piece of crap) and Left 4 Dead.

Portal followed by left 4 dead. I haven't played TF2 or counterstrike and I didn't really enjoy half-life so portal is the natural option.

Portal. *Insert "awesome" 'The cake is a lie' joke here*
Thought it was the most original game I'd played in yonks.

Counter Strike. it has entertained me for years. too bad so many whiny kids play it.

honorable mention goes to L4D.

Toss-up between Counter-Strike and Half-Life (the first - I haven't played HL2). Great games, but multi-player and single-player don't really compare. Ended up voting for CS.

Portal is good, TF2 is the most mediocre of the lot, haven't played L4D.

I bet almost everyone here likes DoD. I like DoD. It's just that everyone likes something else by Valve more.

I guess I have to go with Half Life. TF2 gives unlimited hours of fun, but my time with Half Life is always something (relatively) rare and special. Portal is obviously incredible, but there's not a lot of content. Its almost not fair to compare a whole franchise to a 2 hour game, however good it is. CS and DoD are also great games, but TF2 holds a similar appeal, and grabs me more. Lastly, L4D is a wonderful game. But it just doesn't have the replayability of TF2. I can pick up TF2 any time I want and have a blast, but L4D I can only pick up once every few months. Meanwhile, Half Life is what cemented me as a gamer.
