it's hard, i haven't gotten to reading the league yet, but killing joke, v and watchmen are good.

i wasn't too big on from hell, it came across with him trying to prove how much stuff he knew and such.

What about Miracleman/Marvelman? That was one of the first series that made him really popular.
I haven't yet to check those out yet. Any collections yet available for them?
Yes, but it's out of print because of legal issues. You'll have to download it.

I've noticed I'm the only one that's voted it but From Hell is my favourite. The characters and storyline blend together really well I find (although it takes a while to understand) and the style of drawing and the black and white color scheme really suits the novel I find.

Closely followed by Watchmen, as my avatar would show.

Definitely The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, although that's probably because I'm a big fan of the Victorian-based eras.

Never read Watchmen, but I get the feeling that if I had done I'd like it... so I'm gonna have to go with The League Of Cool Dudes.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Why? Hawley Griffin, and my love of the Victorian period.

VERY Hard to decide between V and Watchmen...but V for Vendetta wins closely

It was a toss up between Watchmen and Killing Joke but I gave it to Killing Joke cause it looked like it needed some love.

Watchmen, one of the best books I think ever written. It's just pure genius in my opinion.

Also Killing Joke of League as close seconds/thirds

The hell is Wild.C.A.T.S.??

I'll take V for Vendetta, thank you. A parody of a Thatcher government gone mad with power, with around four plus self contained stories running parallel? Yes please.

Watchmen is practically sitting beside it, and From Hell is so close it could spit on them, that GN doesn't get enough love.

Same, although these are the only two Alan Moore graphic novels I have read....i think.
Although i did see the V for Vendetta movie, which I thought was very good, although I dont think that counts in this discussion.

I'm sorry, but The Killing Joke is possibly the greatest graphic novel I've ever read, and it's not even a novel per say. It wasn't supposed to be canon but it turned out to be so fucking brilliant that they kept it anyway. I have yet to finish From Hell...thing is a fucking tome and I have been meaning to read Swamp Thing but I have too many in progress (Preacher, Y: The Last Man, The Walking Dead, Hellblazer).

The joke is a killer though.

I like The Killing Joke best as it's the only work of his I've read. Yay for default victories!
