to be more specific, where do you spend more money than you probably SHOULD?

for me, it's books and comics (not manga).
ever since i downloaded the comixology app for my iphone, i've spent at least $50-$75 on comics. but since i got my kindle, a lot of my money has been going into books. Dexter, a Song of Fire and Ice, and miscellaneous novels and non-fictions that i don't really need, but i really want.

how about you all?

It's music for me. Every time I curious about a new album, I somehow seem to come away with that one and eight others as well. Hence the 120 Gigs of music (and not one of them pirated).

Plus I play music, so buy a few instruments from time to time (am eyeing this one [http://breedlovemusic.com/guitars/american-series-guitars/c25-sse] now).

Video games come in second. Then books. I have a kindle too, but books for it are generally pretty cheap (a lot of the old ones are public domain, so you can download them for free). But then there are textbooks. $250 for a microbiology textbook? All my rage.

My biggest money sink is technology and after that I would have to say games.

A Hermit's Cave
Books...

I unashamedly buy books at full price. At home we (my old man and I) have a room specifically for our truckload of books, we could open a damned bookstore/library of our own and retire, in all likelihood. So much so the piano's rather buried... o_O'

Conversely, my sister's a total cheapskate and has virtually every free book going on her kindle...

I had these binges back in the Summer of 2011 where I'd spend 50-80 dollars on Sci-fi novels at a single time, repeated several times over the summer. Granted I bought good ones like the Enders Game series, the Foundation/Empire series, and other single novels like Starship Troopers.

Now I have a stack of unread books three feet high :/

Same. And it doesn't help that my my mates insist on going to bars where it's at least 20 bucks a drink and not letting me leave till I've had ten drinks.
Don't get me wrong, it's good booze, but I don't have that much money.

Honestly Gundam Models. I probably had spend like over £200 on the models I had bought so far in my life. I do consider this to be somewhat wasteful since there were a few times that the overall model creation was not successful (I hate transforming Gundam models for a reason).

Strippers. I have a habit of getting a bit carried away and thus really need to make more of an effort to avoid strip clubs..

Board games and video games mostly, and I also buy a lot of DVDs (I like to dig through the discount bins).

Recently I've spent an awful lot of money on My Little Pony toys and dolls. A lot more than I probably should have. But I regret nothing!

Pool...

I spend every spare coin I have at my nearest pool club... (£1 gives 20 minutes of use of a table, I spend 2-3 hours there whenever I go...)

I very rarely have enough money to buy a game, some music or a book.

I also barely eat since I keep spending all my money on games of pool.

DVDs.

I buy a lot of DVDs. Well, more than I probably should. It's kind of bad looking at how many I buy.

My father and I do the same thing. Our shelves regularly overflow and colonize the surrounding furniture. Too much reading about the Library of Alexandria and other lost troves have made us paranoid about getting rid of them, just in case they become valuable historical documents in the next 1500 years...

Video games are probably number 1. Girlfriend in 2nd. She doesn't need or ask more most of what she gets, but if I have the extra money and I see something she wants or would like, I kinda can't help it. I just made myself broke for the 14th lol. Food is up there too. Damn fatass I am.
