Scottish - ya know, Scotland, that uninteresting, un-diverse hate-filled country that keeps mooching off of England? And then complains about it?

Though my ancestry is mostly English and German, so yah me.
Scotland has some amazing history. Fun fact: one of the first places to have a powerful female ruler was in Scotland. Led the Celts to hold back Rome for quite a while. She got flogged and her daughters were rapped... and she lost a war... But damn it, it was like one hundred people vs. England AND Rome.

Hailing from the USA here. More specifically, Virginia. I know the States isn't the best place in the world and I'm first to admit that when someone asks but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Yay, first to vote Netherlands, and we're even on the list for a change (which is somewhat strange since there are only 10-20 Dutch people on this board...)
Quite a few more, in my experience.
Really? Besides myself I know of 5 or 6 by (screen)name, 2 of whom I haven't seen around in ages.
More surprised i was the number 45 to vote dutch. I knew we had a few people lurking about but not that many(dutch as well).

Can someone turn of the heat in the country ...

I am from the little Kingdom of Norway and live in a little (for us rather large) town(/city) called Haugesund. Think it is too hot in Europe or wherever? Here we got rain through three seasons and snow in the fourth <.<

BTW there are two noteable things to know about Haugesund (three if you like jazz)
1. The first Norwegian Capital was in this area (dates to the Viking Ages)
2. If you have much spare time and are in to memes you have probably seen this -> http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/180/071/prancingcerafinal.jpg it was taken in Haugesund
(3. we have a rather large (for norway it is Large at least) jazz festival (for some reason))

It did not happen that way at all.

Surprised by the relative lack of Americans here The Escapist is more diverse than I thought.

Australian. Melbourne to be precise, and I was born here. I have little else to say other than the whole 'giant spiders with life bars' thing.

American from Michigan, where Mother Nature always forgets to take her mood stabilizers and buries the state in snow one day, creates a desert for three days, and then washes away her sorrows with a week of storms...

But I live in Baden-Württemberg in Germany now. It's pretty awesome here except for the random drunks on the street who sometimes come up to me babbling in Badisch (local dialect where I live), making me wish I had pepper spray...

Canadian. And no,this country is not a vast plain of permafrost,we do not live in igloos,we do not ride moose, and we do not keep beavers as pets. However,we do subsist almost solely off of Tim Horton's. God,why is it so damn hot in Toronto...? I miss January. You can actually dress for the cold.
