Poll: What is your opinion of the game Postal 2?

I have heard, from reviewers, that the PC game Postal 2 was one of the worst most offensive games ever made.
I personaly found the game to be funny and intertaining. The every-day-toil mission style to be a welcome change of pace from the more serious first person shooters. The game took every chance it had to spoof FPS's and for that I gave it its well deserved laugh. I also found the off color parts of the game (ie a good portion of the game) worth at least a shock laugh, after all its just a light hearted game.

I've heard a new one will also be released on PC but I'm not sure about that. If they do, I
hope they improve it.

The game was hilarious in parts, turning the every day tedium of life into something actually fun. Never got my hands on the expansion though, but I heard it was good

But you've got to ask one question, Do you think you can keep Krotchy down?

I thought it was pretty funny, it doesn't hold up so well now but at the time the gameplay was solid and the graphics were pretty good. And using cats as silencers is pretty funny

I actually got the expansion. it had more of a linear mission set up really limited you to only the mission and not letting you wander Paradise, but offered alot more weapons and kept the same sense of humor

Once you've laughed at the cat-as-silencer, there's not much left to enjoy. Mind numbing fetch quests that become more drawn out as the game progresses, huzzah. Most attempts at humor fell flat, which is kind of sad for a game that's supposed to be satire. The low budget presentation didn't help much either.

There was, however, one little detail that made Postal 2 not a complete waste of time. The first day (mission), you are sent out to get some milk. You are perfectly able to complete this assignment by being patient and not going on a killing spree. This was easier said than done, because of all the small annoyances that fill the town you live in. The barking dog, the ridiculously slow moving line at the shop, the condescending shopkeeper, they can all cause you to go over the edge in that (ugly) little virtual world. It made me wonder what it would take to send me off on a rampage fit for prime time television.

The game should've ended there and then, because after that intruiging level the developers completely ran out of ideas. Unless you count "HURR DURR SHOOT MINORITIES DERP DERP RAINING CATS DURR".

It was a parody of serious FPSes at its heart, because so many serious FPSes hand the player a gun and try to pretend that they will be a standard soldier, even the "go nuts" games like GTA (not an FPS I know) are serious games, the go nuts part is just what you the player does with the sandbox. So this game was unapologetically nutty and yes, it did go on alittle longer than it needed too, but how many FPSes have had that problem (most?)

I like it, never played single player though, only the multiplayer portion that was released legally for free over the internet. Fun stuff.
