Poll: What is your opinion on Ke$ha?

I want to dislike her, and "Blah Blah Blah" and "We R Who We R" gives me good ammunition, but "Take It Off" and "Tik Tok" ARE SO DAMN CATCHY.
I prefer waffles but pancakes are nice too.
OT: Eh, never really listened to her songs at all so I don't have much of an opinion on her. From what I know she's at least trying to be a bit edgy, but I just see it as some lame attempt so seem "extreme". There was a thread on here a while ago discussing her song "Cannibal" and someone mentioned how it was distrubing. "Mien Tiel" is all I had to say.
So overall, meh, I don't really have an opinion on her. I'm more interested in those pancakes you mentioned.

This poll is about another one of those artists who I wouldn't even know about if it weren't for people on the internet complaining about her. Unfortunately, I do have a fairly good idea what her music sounds like thanks to a parody that CollegeHumor did of her "Tik Tok" song (the premise of which was complaining that she's a talentless hack who can't sing, hence she "Sing Talks" instead (barfing sounds go here)), so unlike pop 'sensations' whose music I loathe on little more than principle (this is most things), I have legitimate cause now to be infuriated that anyone ever gave her a record deal.
Because man was that song ever horrible, but in the catchy sort of way that ensures you can never forget it and oh crap it is playing in my mind right now MAKE IT STOP AIEEEE!
If you'll excuse me, I have to go listen to Opeth's Damnation and softly whimper to myself for a while now (why won't you get out of my mind you vile harpy, why?!!).

I've heard more then her Tik Tok song and i have to say, i dont see whats the great thing about her. So I could care less.

The only good thing about her songs is that they've got a constant beat. That's literally the only positive thing I can think of.
With Ke$sha you just know that someone in the marketing department got a huge promotion. She honestly would have been nothing if not for the furious add campaign and making her move on iTunes by making Tik Tok a Free download and also predominantly displayed (the artist/label set the prices they sell the music for) It wasn't untill after the iTunes hit that she started getting major radio play. after that she kinda just caught on. Some of her songs I do like but I don't believe she is particularly talented and probably will disappear with time but only time will tell. Tik... Tok...
Well, as long as I'm not taking a taxi, or driving with pop-obsessed girl, I'm not being subjected to it. Really, I can hardly stand the sound of teen girls in regular conversation, so do I really need to explain my views of this song?
