Straight male, but i´d almost say asexual at times. because when 99.999% of girls between 11 and 23 looks like 100 pounds of foundation and tan creme, its not even worth trying.

Oh wow, it's THIS thread again. Seriously, does anyone even use the searchbar anymore?
In answer to the question.
Male - All of the above, yet none of the above. No really, I don't answer questions about my sexual orientation, it's up to you to decide what I am in your own minds.

I identify as pansexual.

If ANY of you think that means I'm into animals I'm going to reach through the internet and punch you in the fucking face.
Of course, I know it actually means your attracted to frying pans......

ok ok, though can you (or someone) explain to me how it's different from being a bi-sexual?
Um, Bisexuals like Males or Females rigidly, while I suppose Pansexuals like Males, Females, and anything in between.
Uhm. There is nothing in between. There might be a hermaphrodite, but it's either male (a male-looking person with female genitals) or female (girl with a ding-dong).

Male and female is like 1 or 0. It's either one or another, at least in humans. Unless you are a slug.
Yes, but there are people who don't identify with either sex and feel that the double category system is flawed.

Not my opinions, just those involved and the word's definition.
"If your sex organs dangle, you're the confederates. If your sex organs are aesthetically pleasing, you're the yanks".

It's as simple as that. You have XX chromosomes, you are a chick. XY, you are a dude. Unless you are one of.. a few dozen even documented hybrids or when some of your cells are female and some are male. But even then, parents decide the gender after childbirth.

I think I'm straight... but I have no romantic or sexual interests in girls, at the moment. I think that romance is a waste of time at my age (16) and losing your Virginity or having sex is highly overrated. I also reacted in a negative way, from my friends Girlfriend jokingly shoved her butt in my face. It was met with a scowl and me hastily put an arm in front of my face and moving backwards a bit. I also said "No, no please don't" when my Grandma jokingly offered me a kissogram for my birthday. I just have no attraction or interest in girls right now... and probably doesnt help that all my favorite Celebs are all men...

But like I said I THINK I'm straight... but the above statement might mean otherwise...

I've heard several times from biologists that bisexuality does not exist. You have to be either. Bisexuality is either insecure heterosexuality or insecure homosexuality.
Arguements have occured periodically about stuff like this. The bottom line is that sexual attraction is largely a chemical reaction. This has been proven despite people's attempts to argue otherwise. Generally the "humans are not predictable animals in any way, shape, or form, we're all unique and wonderful flowers and our emotions and drives are mystical and unique and in no way attached to biology or science at all" is very popular because part of being sentient and individually aware is an inherant dislike of being characterized. This feeds into psychology, sociology, and tons of other things that people hate, but arguably can't deny.

Things like castration work on both people and animals because once you remove the organs the chemical reactions more or less go away. It can be touchy because of the way these chemicals interface with the brain (which means some drive can be left even if the equipment is altered) and right now we simply don't understand enough about how the human brain works though we can do a lot of things with it.

The debate over bi-sexuality is largely because it's something that makes no natural sense, except as a genetic defect, since someone is arguably reacting chemically to both genders. Hetero and Homosexuality can be both defended scientifically, hetero sexuality needed to of cours emaintain the species, those who want to get away from the contreversy of calling homosexuality a disease/defect and portraying it as something wrong with people will oftentimes defend it by saying that it's a genetic reaction to overpopulation, to prevent healthy people from breeding, despite their working sex organs.

The basic idea being that it's believed people have instinctive defenses against overpopulation, and a sort of "chemical network" emitted by people (Pheremones, etc..) causes brains to more or less reverse attraction if there are simply too many people. However as sentinent beings we can overcome these defenses with will, which is why our population is still exploding. Also no natural mechanism is going to be absolutly perfect. The idea being that by this theory homosexuality increases with the level of overpopulation, and also if there was a sudden catastrophe that greatly reduced the human population, homosexuals would "revert" to being heterosexual as a species survival mechanism. Of course without a massive apocolypse and/or more study of the brain we simply won't know. Brain research being heavily limited by the simple fact that people can't engage in nazi-like experiments which arguably limits the aquisition of knowlege (note that I'm NOT saying that this morality is a bad thing, simply that it's a factor).

Not sure if anyone else answered, but I figured I'd ramble a bit on the subject in case anyone is interested.

Truthfully though those of you who have read my other posts will know what my sexual orientation is (straight) and all this rambling aside, what my overall thoughts on sexuality are. Nothing that I feel is appropriate to get into here, and frankly little would come of it that is constructive. :p

The basic point being that things like this are a hot topic, and it's of course closely tied to politics and morality. It's pretty much impossible to do unbiased research on the subject. Unless some kind of asexual space alien arrives and lays things down for us as a true outside observer, it's doubtful we'll ever have any kind of an answer to issues like this that people will accept.

You misunderstand, Biologically the person may be male or female, but I'm talking about people who socially don't identify with either sex.

You will agree that human feelings tend to be a little less black and white than biology don't you?

I never said I agree with them. I'm simply acknowledging their different view.
Of course I know chromosomes determine true sex, but this is a social issue, and even if my opinion differs from theirs it doesn't mean theirs doesn't exist.

You and I are on the same side, but you seem to be arguing that I shouldn't recognise that different opinions exist socially.

I have a bit of a complicated view.

I believe myself to be a homosexual male. However, only this because I am in a relationship with another guy, therefore nobody else should be of interest to me, thus I will not act upon sexual desires to anyone other than my boyfriend who is a guy.

However, I can admit that I would have no problems with either gender given I wasn't in a relationship.

At least I theorize anyway, would know until the situation happened, which with any luck it never will, so, yes. Gay.

Really, not much else to say.

Oh! I remembered: IT'S NOT A CHOICE
There we go, my stance is set in case this turns into a debate
Now, this may sound offensive, but I'm not trying to be offensive. Seeing as you're homosexual (I don't like the word "gay," or any other derogatory term for that matter, especially the "N-word") and you claim it's not a choice, have you ever tried to be heterosexual?
I understandyour question and I'm not offended :)
And to answer your question, yes I have. I've had 2 girlfriends. Both relationships were ended by the girl because I didn't make any indication I was attracted to them (I didn't kiss the first one at all, I only hugged her; the second girlfriend had to start everything).

So yes, I've tried. I knew, on some basic level, I was gay when I was with my 2nd girlfriend, but I gave heterosexuality one last go. It just didn't happen. I didn't want it.

Now flick forward 2 years to my first boyfriend whom I couldn't get enough of ;)
And I'll stop there before I violate any forum rules :)

There's probably more men on the site, hence why the stats are so skewed in that direction. Do this survey in other settings and the results will vary accordingly.

To the actual poll question: gender fluid female, like the ladies, but do find the odd man attractive. So...bisexual?
