I have been told by a real live native american holy man (my friend's great uncle)I possess the spirit of the Buffalo. Which basically means 'really physically strong, helpful to others and a mellow attitude' in the short version. The Ponca name he gave me was TwoBulls. There was a lot more to the experiance but I won't go in to detail. (when they say bull they are referring to buffalo)

Mine appears to be a Shetland Sheepdog from what I can gather from a lady I met when I took my Reiki Master course (interrestingly enough, I could hear a dog barking during the "meet your spirit guide" part of my 2nd Degree attunement but nobody else could, and the lady who said she thought my guide was a dog wasn't even at the 2nd degree attunement). Another friend who lives in Canada who seems to have some dream-based claivoyancy said they thought my guide is a dog as well.

I haven't gone through the process, but my mother has. Her grandmother held the responsibility for her tribe, and hers was a wolf. I'm told you aren't supposed to tell those within the tribe or belief system at least, as it's a very personal thing. But, I guess telling people outside, that hold no affiliation or belief is okay. I'd assume that mine is a wolf as well, with how similar we can be at times, but I'm not sure. *shrug*
