They're Anonymous without a purpose. So...they're the bad, destructive side with none of the order and greater goals.

I'm no fan of Anonymous, but I can at least see potential for good to come from them being around. Lulzsec on the other hand...they seem like the aspiring usurpers that don't understand how things are meant to work (I hear Saw got like that, but I didn't watch past #3).

So yeah, not a fan.

No,I don't like them or any hacking group because for all they claim, they destroy everything else on the web. This is a fragile place and though it will stand as a wad on the forest floor rotting,it will be far less powerful and never again will it be the same.

I think its amusing really. That so many companies have fallen victim to the "Lulz boat."

I think it would be nice if they all decided to go and do something that is actually constructive but...

I am supporting them simply because so many governmnets and companies do not like them yet cannot catch them.

I hate hackers and I hate anarchists, so I have a special kind of supreme hatred for "people" like them. It's such a cowardly form of crime, they never face their victims, at least robbers usually have a pair.

Edit: Of course the votes look like a penis.. I'm trying to be serious face!

They want attention, and this is giving it to them.

Honestly, I have said this quite a few times, but this sums up my thoughts on it relatively well; I don't know which is scarier, the fact that all these companies and corporations probably have shit for security, or that hackers are just getting smarter to the point where anything is considered shit security.

These attacks will have a lasting effect. Before all this, I had no idea that hacks like these go unreported all the time to keep a company's image intact. Hell, banks get hacked all the time, money stolen from under their noses, nobody knows about it. That's not to say I support these people, of course I don't.

But it almost feels like a revolution is taking place for internet security. It's just a revolution that I don't think should be happening in the first place.

Why are people calling LulzSec 'hacktivists'? They're not, and neither do they claim to be.

In fact, they're not even hackers - they're crackers.

ok coming from someone who actually supported this here are a couple points to be made

1. One of the worlds most succesful companies in the world was brought down by a couple of guys from there homes, what does that sat about Sony's security system, be happy if was just for the lulz, and not actually targeted at all your personal information

2. Helps draw attention to a couple of sony's gaming practices (did you know that game you just bought for $60 doesn't actually belong to you? Your just leasing the right to play it from Sony

3. They didnt hack (hack meaning to install additional software onto an existing program to edit the current script) Everything they used was created and used by Sony

4. Annon as a whole isn't taking credit for this, generally when annon does something they admit (such as the habbo hotel raids)

Considering how all of you bad mouth Annon for taking away your internet for a month, you don't seem to know much about them.

I'm just a bit peeved because use of the internet to cause problems for people with a lot of money could be powerful fodder for pro-internet-censorship people.

Personally I have no qualm with them, and I do see how they could have fun doing what they do.
The only thing is, they seem to be trying a little too hard to get noticed. I'm an on the fence supporter, because they have the balls to do whatever they want and don't care what others think of them. That's courage many of us lack.

If they only did one or two things a month, but made them big public spectacles and did something actually funny, I'd be all for it.
Like posting outrageous fake news on reliable news sites, doing something that is genuinely entertaining but not really damaging. I'd be all for them.

What there doing now just seems childish, but I say let them do whatever they find fun until they just burn out or get caught.

But seriously, if they could somehow get into the news ticker feed on CNN, it would make my day.

If they actually did stuff worthy of "lulz" i wouldn't hate them at least but so far there definition of "lulz" is acting like assholes and justifying it with flimsy morals.

I'm not "Awww Yeah Lulzsec they're so awesome I want them in me" nor am I "THESE LULZSEC MAKE ME RAGE AUGHHH" I do think what they're doing are annoying and I don't really see where they stand in terms of what they're doing and why, from all I've heard is that they're doing it for the "Lulz" (as seen in the name) and I don't understand how this is "lulzy" maybe that's because I'm too old/young. however I got to give credit where credit is due and for them to hack Nintendo and Sony I gotta say congratulations that must of been something.

They need to grow up. They're that schoolyard bully who tries to impress the older kids by hurting people for no reason. And they're too immature to realize that it's only funny to them.
Yeah this. They have no reason to be doing what they are except they think it's funny. At least Anonymous has reasons behind what they do and hell sometimes I applaud them for what they do but these idiots are just annoying people because they can.
