I do that anyway. I can't sit in that seat, someone thought it would be a special idea to postion the handlebars BELOW it.Hashime said:Tip: Never put your full weight down on the seat while riding a racer, you will pop a tire. The best position to ride from is where you skim the seat but have all your weight on the pedals, the bike can then move independently of you.Monkfish Acc. said:Uh. I usually ride a mountain bike, but recently I've been riding a tiny little shitty racer.
I got it as a loan from a friend. It is terrifying to ride that thing.
I can feel every jostle in my soul.
I love the bent down bars, they reduce wind resistance a ton. It is something you get used to. Also, ride enough and you will not mind presenting a bit, neither will the ladies. (a good reason to get involved with a group ride besides great cardio)Monkfish Acc. said:I do that anyway. Every time I go out on that bike I feel like I am presenting myself to the trucker behind me.
... Hi, we obviously haven't met.Hashime said:I love the bent down bars, they reduce wind resistance a ton. It is something you get used to. Also, ride enough and you will not mind presenting a bit, neither will the ladies. (a good reason to get involved with a group ride besides great cardio)
Well, I suggest a heavy mountain bike then. You can find "Easy riders" or touring bikes that have tri-suspension systems and large tires to improve comfort. I would use one but I am not happy with any speed less than 30 km/h.Monkfish Acc. said:... Hi, we obviously haven't met.Hashime said:I love the bent down bars, they reduce wind resistance a ton. I'm Monkfish, though my friends call me Tilly. I'm of indeterminable age, ornery as fuck, and so asexual ithurtsfeels good man.
Presenting is not a thing I want to do. Under any circumstances.
That bike sees no use unless I need to pop down to the local shop for cigarettes. Cardio and self-improvement are of no interest to me.
'Sides, thing is fucking useless on these awful backcountry roads. Wheels are thinner than my god damn fingerbone.
I need a new bike.
