I usually go pure warrior, but I always mix in a little archer/rogue and mage. For example, in Oblivion, I always wear heavy armor and use a sword and shield, but I try my best to sneak until I am caught, and then use the occasional healing spell.

My groups hate me, yeah. I'm a bard in one D&D 4e game, and a Swordmage/Wizard Hybrid in another, so that kinda sums me up, apart from the one ridiculous venture into being a Monk. No-one likes me being a Monk because I destroy all that stands before me, unarmed, dealing higher damage than the barbarian and hitting (0% of the time.

Very generally, I favor a rogue. Not the "high DPS" style seen in MMO's but rather the jack-of-all trades kind seen in D&D style games.

I like to play the fighter class, and usually end up becoming the groups tank/leader.

The Hulky, sword/assault rifle based soldier type class, which I usually compensate for by placaing a lot of pointa to the intellegence attribute (If there is one).

If we're talking Table Top... Always, always, BARD!!! Don't question it, I just am. Making your enemies ear's bleed with high frequency screams whilist beating them to death with a Mandolin? Never gets old. That or simply yelling them off a cliff, always fun.

Otherwise; A Cleric, or a Mage with health draining spells of some sort. I enjoy being self reliant for heals, without always chugging down potions, nasty taste I tells ya'.
